Rained all night off and on in Asuncion

Well, this has definately been the worst couple weeks of weather I've seen here...oh we can get a day of rain every couple years and wind but never so many days of cloud in a row! And it rained off and on all night accompanied by heavy wind from the SE too...nasty ...AGAIN...and just when they finally got all the mud off the main street too! Back to work men! But the horses are gleeful and I cant wait to smell all those nice purple flowers that will carpet our village. Looks like the worst of it is hitting the cape area...what's goin on there nomads?

From the looks of the radar, the heavy rains are past except in north/central Baja where they may see another few hours of heavy rain.
This is a big front which will cause another day or 2 of partly cloudy and windy conditions with a few more sprinkles.

Clean up the mud and grade the roads; I leave in 2 days !!!!

Marie-Rose, it's way lower temperature here. Only 18. Oh right, that's centigrade!

It just doesn't feel congruent to need to wear Helly Hansen rain jackets and wellies.

Mood: could be better

What about the nice smells?
getting spoiled lately, with too many of these rainy days?
it's great for the garden and the water-table in the mountains.
Maybe we'll get some more city water after beign cut off for 10 days.

The grass is always greener....
and so, there is always a better spot in Baja

Yikes----we were hoping to leave on Thursday but will be delayed. Hope we are still dry inside----as always, it will be an adventure----but the desert will be spectacular.

Not sure exactly when we are going---but will try to give a quick road report asap.

Isn't fishbuck on his way down now? Can't remember, but hope we hear from him.

yup...rained off and on, mostly on...all morning....some real big cloudbursts...but Asuncion is sporting a green haze all over now...sweeeet...fishbuck postponed his trip...an amigo came in yesterday in a little car and had no problem...but that was before the rain...but the detours around the washed out highway were graded, not many potholes but go slow and watch for caved in areas which have either tires or tree branches in front of them. We all think it's good to have this bad weather now so it will be gorgeous when you all get here.

This is good news for me, I imagine things will be lush (for Baja), when I get there in march.

Really like the pix---makes us both homesick.

We both especially like the one of the island---just a great shot --- so soft looking.

Thanks
