Alfonso Lopes ? Artist


I've have 2 oil paintings by this artist . I was told that he was from the baja. The paintings are of mexican fishemen on the beach, their homes, and their boats (with sails not motors) . They are dated 1967 .

I've seached for info. on this artist, but so far nada . Anyone able to help. Thanks:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Could it be Lopez instead of Lopes?

David , he spells it with and S at the end . Once i figure out how to post a photo i will . Would love to find out more info. But if it is a z any idea ? thanks

david, that is the same artist, can tell you are right on, same style , same signature.

I just did a search and saw several links to that one painting being auctioned or offered for $250... Also, where you asked on a Todos Santos forum as Motana"? Sorry, but after several pages of links I did not have any biography on Alfonso Lopes, the artist... But, someone here will likely find more! Stay tuned amigo!
