Semana Santa in BajaSur
This is my first time down here during this holiday, and what a change is makes all over the beaches and towns down here. The weather is just about as
perfect as it can get and the Mexicanos are living it up large!Ensenada Blanca,Ligui, Juncalito are all at least five deep from water to dunes. The
people are having a great time, children frolicking in the 75 degree water(more or less) and making a lot of trash and poo-ing wherever they can. It's
going to be a huge clean up job that will take weeks and the polution is already noticable in the water.I love to see the people having fun and
staying up until 4 am with getto blasters battling each other. Question is about the clean-up and what about all the poo-poo and toilet paper in the
bushes and sand dunes? Will the Military clean it up? The Ejido or Fonature? Me thinks we Americanos will have to do the job.(and a huge one it is!)
Any feedback on this ?

You seem obsessed with the poo-poo or caca as it is known down south. They do have outhouses all along the beach. I will dry up in the hot Baja sun
and the wind will carry it south to Nopolo and Puerto Escondido. But, thanks for sharing that with us. Watch out where you step.....but it might only
be a rattlesnake and not crap after all. Happy Easter----enjoy those chocolate eggs. Russ

Half full or what
I feel the energy you speak of. Lots of wounderful people close together having a great time. Trash everywhere people everywhere. So is the glass
half empty or half full. When I'm lucky enought to be somewhere in Mexico at this special time, I enjoy the people. then I help clean up. I guess
you could say it's a passion.

Caca or Chocolata?
Sharkey,
Such prose from a man of the pen! Walt Whitman must spin on his grave at the very mention of your name......Will the Caca really blow south to Nopolo?
There's quite enough of that piling up there already.......mas y mas y mas.....
I wonder if they'll be able to fit some six story walk ups in that project? Maybe I could get a job fighting fires again?
On my way to San Diego....Saturday
Stay in touch...bringing Dusky.

You mentioned you heading north on Saturday...I am driving south from the border and we should hook-up along the way? How far are you you going that
day towing the Dusky?

Good Luck in San Diego. Hope everything turns out well for you. We'll miss you in Loreto. I wouldn't worry about the building in Nopolo. Fonatur
and the Ejido are going to court over this and that could take a long, long time to figure out. I don't think it will happen in my lifetime. Best
wishes and Happy Easter, Sharky:moon:

I was just fishing
for some feedback and what do I get? Are'nt you guys just a barrel of laughs. Thanks Sonora Wind, you seem to be the only one thinking about the post
seriously. I have volunteered(as have many others) to spend some of my last days down here cleaning up after the happy campers. And No, Russ, I'm not
worried about the caca(there is one outhouse on Juncalito Beach)but the plastic and diapers and non-biodegradable stuff that can kill fish and cause
harm to the environment. Thanks for your sensitivity(not). Can you still be nice or have I done something to P you off? Buena Suerte, Sally

Calma, Sally
I was not peeed off. I was just having a little fun. I can still be nice. But I ain't pickin no pampers up---lesson they be mine. Time was when
the road down was all pampers and beer bottles along the way. Things are so much better now. No one goes around after the cows pickin up their sh--.
Nope, I am not in the Sh-- business. I don't take no sh-- and I don't give a sh--. Hell, Sal, here in California, I heard on the news they aren't
going to let anyone smoke on the beach any more. No butts, no sh--. Actually, its the plastic in the pamper that gives the enviornment the most
trouble. Hope you had a great easter. If you see little round balls on the ground---its Easter Bunny crap. Those are also known as smart pills by

Probably wasn't the best choice of words when writing about crap on the ground. You ought to come to Loreto more often, there is more bullsh-- going
around than you can imagine. Why I heard there was going to be a hugh project in Nopolo called Loreto Bay. ROTFLMAO. Next thing you know, they will
want to extend the malacon all the way down to Nopolo. Have a safe trip home. I will be down from the 9th of May until the lst of July. If you get
a chance and are down there, give me a hollar and we can sit around a shoot the sh--. No crap, I would like to see you. I will even buy the Caca
Cola for us.

POO-POO GET SERIOUS
Sally....of course we're not angry...perhaps Sharky was just a little bound up!
Sharky, whenever it takes place, I'm in on the caca-cola gathering......I'll bring my own olives, thank you!
Leaving for our new location today......will still visit Loreto to see our friends and attend your First Annual Ca-Ca Convention......I'm certain
you'll be elected President of this fine organization...........Send invitations to Washington, D.C. You will be inundated with applications......Who
knows more about ca-ca then our fine representatives!
So long Stinky, uh, Sharky! Jorge

Crap in Nopolo???
Capt. Sharky. I & others I'm sure would like further explaination of the legal battle with the ejido & Fonatur regarding Loreto Bay/Nopolo comment
you made earlier. Is this the Cafe' Ole coffee clutch rumor? Or do you have first hand knowledge of this law suit. Please explain. I'm interested
and I'm sure Sallysouth would be also, as well as the others who live here in Nopolo.

Bahia Loreto
Sorry, I don't do the Cafe Ole---Too many old guys. This came firsthand from someone that ought to know. Actually, I have heard it several times
from various sources that should be in the know---all locals and business owners. There seems to be a dispute between the ejido and Fonatur about
where the ejido ends and the government land begins. If this were to go to the courts, and I understand it is, it could go on for a long time. The
land you live on in Nopolo, as far as I know, was purchased by some of the past Presidents of Mexico and was legally sold---so you, Phil, are in good
shape. I would imagine you even have a Fideocomiso on your property. According to what I have been told, Fonatur claims everything south of the
soccer field in the ejido belongs to the government. Now for my disclaimer---in Loreto I will believe it when I see it first hand. Like all small
towns, its a hotbed of rumors. However, the Ejido President has a survey of what belongs to the Ejido. I have seen that but did not pay attention to
the line to the south. Also, who would pay the taxes on the land---other than those that are now living on the so-called government land. If it comes
down to a power struggle, I would put my money on the Government. In the meantime, I would be very reluctant to buy any Ejido property. There is
plenty of good, clear titled property in Loreto that the Fidiocomiso will insure. Better yet, I rent. The last thing I would want to do to get
information would be to go to the Cafe Ole and listen to Americans. Hope I haven't been too harsh on the Cafe Ole and the guys that sit around there
all morning long drinking coffee. If I have, I am sorry. Best wishes, Sharky

Loreto
Thanks Sharky for the update. Things down here seem to be progressing right along. Loreto Bay is having another "sales promotion in another week I
believe. Manager of Camino Real in Nopolo says he's got a "ton" of LB customers coming in with reservations. Last Saturday, I walked into the El
Camino Real Resort for breakfast, and couldn't find a place to park in the whole parking lot, including the "turnaround". Parked in the street &
walked in. Found the restaraunt tables, FULL!!!! Line at the buffet long. Mostly Mexican customers. Parking lot looked like a "next to new" auto
dealership. All late models, and "spiffy". Even WHales Inn, had more cars in the parking lot than I"ve seen in years. However, this is the first
time we've been here during Easter. Can confirm Sallysouths comments on Juncalito. Wall to wall masses of people, tarps, tents, etc. Hopefully the
wind was from the north to keep the "odor" from "frosting the nose hairs"!!!!! Also would like to "throw in" that at Puerto Escondido, just after you
turn off the highway to go to the marina, on the left is a tienda run by "Willie" And Sunday morning, we went down for breakfast at the new outdoor
restaraunt there. Was a taco menu, but we asked if they could do Juevos Rancheros, and Malina (I think that is her name) says, "no problem" And it
was "wonderful". We were so excited, we went into the store and bought a bottle of Vodka, couple bottles of tomato juice, some cups, and Malina
furnished the ice, and guess what!!! You got it!!! Bloody Mary's. What a meal. What a day. What a great idea for a restaraunt. I recommend this one
for locals, and anyone traveling south or north. Just off the highway, about 300 feet on the left on the road to Puerto Escondido.!!!!!

Willys!
Glad to hear you had a great breakfast Phil and Wendy! Willy has been moved to his new place after Tripui owner kicked him out of there, and has been
supplying us all with fresh vegis, and almost everything we could want (except diapers) . He and his wife, Malena are great people and we plan to "do"
lunch there this week before I leave.(I'll call you manana, ok?) There is certainly very much going on here in Nopolo. As far as the wind blowing to
the south, it seems as tho if there was a bad odor, it would have to come from the North, like Loreto, where my friend Sharky lives, right?(sorry, I
could'nt resist) take care , Sally

Gee, and I always thought my sh-- didn't smell. Sally you got to remember that Shark poop usually ends up at the bottom of the Sea of Cortez and not
in Nopoolo. However, I did enjoy your comments. How are things in No poo low these days. Everything cool and calma. Hope you get back down in time
to go dorado fishing with me. I will try to hold everything back while you are onboard--if it doesn't make me sick. Don't forget, you are bringing
the lunch, so remember to wash your hands before making the sandwitches. Got to go....big day and I am pooped. Adios, Russ

All is well in Nopoolo!
You are pretty funny today, Sharky! We have been very busy every day and finally got a day on the water last week. Went to Carmen and had a beautiful
day swimming and shelling. No fishing tho, as the Jurrells are too far out to take the baby with. I'll be back down in Nov. or Dec.,probably not
before. It's been a great four months here.Juanita has been working like a mad woman on her project and things are moving along .Have you heard about
the wide open bite off Catalan? The people have been just plain too pooped to go out the next day!IF we ever get to go fishing together, what would
you like me to bring for lunch? Can't we just have poo-poos and crackers? Did some beach clean-up but no diapers for me either!I get enuf of that right
here!Juanita is going to interview the Loreto Bay people soon so check on her "whats happening" page in the near future. Gotta go change Rachel, I
think she did a ......you know. Take care, Sally
