San Felipe Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon

Does anyone know if there is a good plastic surgeon in San Felipe. I need some cosmetic moles removed and my Insurance won't pay. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Check with Dr Abosolo - he is a trained plastic surgeon - he practices as a general physican - he does have a plastic surgeon that comes to his office\hospital l

Ensenada or TJ would be a better bet for you...

Why not go into Mexicali and get it done. I have two employees that go to Mexicali constantly getting plastic surgery of one kind or another done. I will ask them tomorrow for you if you wish and see who they used, phone number of doctor, address, and if they for sure remove moles. I hope you have gotten good advise about removing moles, as my skin specialist in El Centro said better to leave a mole showing as it is easier to see if problems start. When you cut them or laser them off if something goes wrong like cancer it is under the skin and not a noticiable. So, for a little higher cost you remain safer because a doctor States side will not just remove moles without knowing hands down it is clear and to do that they have to take a sample when they cut it off and send it in for testing. Just a few thoughts to help let you make safe decisions for you health. Stay safe and hope it all works out ok. Later================bajafun777

SF would not be my 1st choice for
Med treatment, not that there may
not be someone there, I just have'nt
seen much there in the way
what you are looking for,
there is one of those
yahoo discussion groups,
which deals with San Felipe, the
posts are from the San Felipe El Dorado Ranch
residents, I would search for
their site, I would think that
may be the place for an exact
answer to your ?

Dr Abasolo is the only Dr I know of here that MIGHT remove them for you? No one here that I have ever heard of is a dermatologist or plastic surgeon, practicing this procedure?

Have lived in San Felipe for over 10 yrs. At this point I agree with the person that said 1) go to Mexicali and get it done and 2) better yet, go to El Centro, so whatever they remove can go to a lab -- better safe than sorry.

There is a new clinic being completed near the new Pemex near El Dorado. It is being developed by 7 different specialists from the States. It's in the beginning stages, however new equipment is being shipped in and the building is being completed -- in the near future - 2 more months, San Felipe will have the caliber of specialists for all kinds of treatments and excellent for those without insurance or emergencies or just health maintenance.

The new Medical building is not even Started as yet! Also right now they are not even still promising American physians! I have heard of no new equiment arriving here as yet & I have attended every Supervisors Meeting since Nov. of 2006. I am on the Board of supervisors for Group #4 EDR HOA. It looks to be like a good program if it ever gets going for REAL! So far Dr Lopez is treating patients from the old Medical trailer down near Members Services at EDR As far as I have heard he has no new equipment or nothing newer than he has been using right along to treat people. There is no private exam rooms or much of anything except a band aid station.. The new temporary buildings are SUPPOSED to arrive in March of this year! Like Swimming pools Jacuzzies & Gym we are ALL still waiting!!!!
