Thank you, from a Korean War Vet.
My prayers and thoughts are with our current vets and active duty personnel of the Iraq/Afghanistan war. Will it ever end?

Appropriately extracted from Tennyson

Not tho' the soldier knew
Someone had blunder'd:
Their's not to make reply,
Their's not to reason why,
Their's but to do and die:..."

A HUGE thanks to all veterans, who have served their country in times of conflict and peace, to protect the rights of all citizens to live in a free
society and express their opinions and pursue their dreams.
May God bless all of you for your dedication to duty and service to your country!

Dot dot dot dash.
V for Victory.
I celebrated today with Leslie, a WW2 submarine vet. I listened as he told me stories of his life in the service, learned that he hates rum and coca
cola because of a certain mine sweeper in Pearl Harbor that played "that damned song" over and over again from a loud speaker off the stern. It not
only ruined the song for him but the drink as well. He studied in Mexico on the G.I. bill after WW2 until he was called back for Korea.
The stories he could tell.
We sang the song I learned from my dad Herman, "Oh the biscuits in the Navy..." and he taught me a new saying to use when people complain;
"Tell it to Jesus, the Chaplin has gone to shore."
My friend walks with a cane because his equilibrium is toast due to years spent in the submarine. He's one tough old guy.
Cheers to those who have served, are serving and those who have gone before. I only break out my patriotic Jackie O. suit three times a year and today
was one of them. It's a proud day.
