Baja Mur, alive and well!

Mur hasn't posted in quite some time, so it was nice to get a call from my 'Baja Blood Brother' today!

Mur came up with that term after we both had been thrown from our rides climbing the 'widowmaker' near Mision Santa Maria back in '99!

I was on a quad and Mur was on a motorcycle... and we both left blood behind on the road to Mision Santa Maria! After that, I came up with the name 'widowmaker' for that steep grade!

Mur told me he was riding that very same quad this past Memorial Day... and he has renamed it MUR-morial Day, because he almost left us with a heart attack (at age 48)... He sounded fine today... which made me happy to hear!

A few of you know Mur from the Amigos de Baja days, or his fishing trips with Fishin' Rich, Minnow and others or our first trip to 'Mission Impossible' (almost impossible)!!

Murray attended Viva Baja #2 & #3... here he is with Graham Mackintosh at Viva Baja II:

Here's our 1999 trip to Mision Santa Maria, my first web page: http://www.vivabaja.com/missionsm/index.html

So, Baja Mur... do keep on keeping on amigo!!!
