A little edgy

If you've been reading my posts you know I've been a bit on edge.
I've been going a little baja and fishing crazy. I get like this sometimes.
But I have a funny story that's a little personal but I think it's okay to tell.
I visited my girl at TJbeach last weekend. She was concern because she has a scar. She showed me the scar and it really wasn't that bad. But she doesn't like it and wants to get surgery to fix it. Fair enough. So I ask how much. $1500. Wow that's alot.
But you know if things work out I might just pitch in a few bucks. And while were there we might just as well get a little tune up on some other areas. Ya know, since we already there.
I mean not that she needs it or anything. But since we're already there and all.
I've got to say that this is really making Baja alot more fun for me. And what I mean is connecting with the people of baja.
Prior to this my explorations have been mostly geographical but now the are more social in nature. I'm establishing relationships. And learning about the people.
It makes Baja a much warmer place.(Metaphorically speaking)
But you know this might just cut into my fishing money a little. But it just doesn't seem to bother me that much. In fact I believe I might enjoy improving the beauty of Baja.
Hey, I'm only trying to help!

Take it slow. I had the same situation once with a lady who wanted to have her breasts enlarged > $2,000 (at that time). I told her I didn't have that kind of money but I could help her out if she did one this summer, one the next. She was really picky. Never saw her again.

¿¿$1,500.00?? Just tell her the recent inflation has made it difficult for you to loan her this money. You care deeply about her, but this is a difficult time for you to share that much money.

Somebody is pulling someone’s leg or it's an Exit Stage Left time!

Like Grover says just go to Adelitas! Not that I have ever been there... As a point of good advice, if any woman you start to date says in any language “Loan me some money for...” Don’t walk, Runnnnnnnnnn like the wind and immediately do an "Exit Stage Left."

Stay out of Adelitas. Its not worth the liklihood of STDs. Theres more options than that place. Just let your lady friend know that you don´t have the money and that you don´t find the scar unattractive. Tell her, In time, she can pay ´monthly´to have the scar removed. At Adelitas, you can´t pay enough money to have some STDs removed. It ain´t worth it.

Fish I hope you know I am kidding about Adelitas. There is not enough penicillin to get you back in good order if you were to visit that place.

I don't think she was asking for money. But maybe.
She wants to get it fixed someday when she has enough money. She was just a little self-conscious about it and trying to explain.
She never mentioned it again.

Mr. Fishbuck,

I'm a newbie so I don't know nothing. However, I think what's needed here are photographs of the scar and its owner.

Its size, location, and the overall appearance of the owner have a lot to do with whether or not its worth fixing.

You know, it's like the difference between an old panga and a new sport fisher.

Words of Wisdom

"take what you can, give nothing back!" That way you still have something to spend on the next one just over the horizon, or around the corner.

Maybe even a better one!
