new kid on the block
Hi,
I just joined the forum and don't know yet how to post, but I'll get it, so forgive the repeats until I figure it out. Now I'll see where this goes.

Thanks for the welcome, and I have been warned about the spelling police. So, was this a test?? "An" proceeds a word beginninging with a vowel or an
"h", as opposed to "a". Sew, did I pass the test? Isn't there a place somewhere in this forum for interesting signs???

"An" proceeds a word beginninging with a vowel or an "h", as opposed to "a"
so you say "an horse"........... "an hour" makes sense but an horse?... an house?...no.
Should you say a "silent h"?

The "h" is silent in Spanish. The "j" is pronounced with an "h" sound. Let's stick to the topic of Baja or the BCS retired self-appointed police
will be after you for not sticking to the subject on the board. Muy peligroso. You have been warned. Cuidado!

Welcome to Nomad land! You should fit right in.
And, yes, there is a thread that I started regarding posting interesting images of signs from Baja! Do a search for it.

dye-4: Welcome!
"It Don't make no Nevermind" about your spelling or correct English unless you are trying to impress a bunch of "Do Nothings" who enjoy jumping on
"Ole Gezzers", Ole Timers" "Eco Nuts" Weak Minded Liberals" Right Wing Religious Nuts" etc.
So Come to Baja and find out what it is all about, Do Not, and I repeat Do Not take any of the Post as Truth, you must come and Experience Baja as it
is, not as some unlearned person who knows nothing about Baja but what he has seen on the computer tries to get across as the Truth!!
Let us know when you are coiming so that you may be properly directed to the Best Places and learn how to avoid the Worst Places in Baja.

My spelling has gotten pretty bad as I get older. When I was in grade school I was often the best speller in my class but now I have a computer with
spell check and have gotten lazy. I figure that if a person can't "sound it out" and figure out what I'm trying to say then it must not be too
important........to them or me.
It makes me smile when my spelling is corrected on this board because it searves as a reminder to me that I have a full life with lots of productive
things to do........and it doesn't bother me a bit.....dt
Welcome to the board 2-tie...

Wouldn't that be precedes instead or proceeds? Welcome to the board!

If you notice, a lot of my words were mispelled. I was playing, I don't care about spelling but have seen people get chastised for it...so I wanted
to play, too. Hey, Skeet, thanks for the advice but I have been to Baja several times. I waited to post until I did know of what I speak. I just
got back from a trip to Bahia Asuncion. I agree with your post, but wrong tree here. I posted a trip report on the page that said to do so. I am a
newbie, so teach me the ropes kids. Thanks!

Welcome
1) Incorrect use of 'a lot'
2) 'mispelled' is misspelled
3) 'it...so' should be 'it... so'
Go back to Baja, you've got homework to do. Arrrr!
