La Paz Rotarians Clinic

Hola Everyone, We will be having our semi-annual clinic with the La Balandra Rotarians of La Paz, BCS, Mexico from October 13 through the 25th. So far we have 14 patients lined up for prostheses and who knows how many kids we will see for orthopedic braces. If anyone cares to drop in to see what we do you're more than welcome. The clinic is in the Special Education complex across the street from Kiki Burgers, about 7 blocks up from the malecon on Ave. Heroes de 1947. Vaya con Dios muchachos, Paul Boe

Hola Steve, Yes, I was able to contact Coco by phone a while back. He's staying at his friend Pablos house in Ensenada. He said he eventually wants to get back to his "Corner" when he is able. Our plan is to see him on our way down to La Paz, deliver an electric and a manual wheelchair to him, and cast and measure him for his bilateral below knee prostheses. We will take his molds down to La Paz to our big lab and fabricate his legs down there, then deliver them on our way back to the US. This, of course, depends on if he has had the revision surgery done on his newly amputated side. Adios, Paul Boe

Paul Thank You. We have been working close with Coco for a lot of years and have come to love him a lot. Have you heard form Greg lately? I am trying to contact him about a wheel chair clinic in La Paz in January at the school.

Hi Steve, Haven't heard from Greg or Gail since our last clinic in April. We're taking down 2 electric and 2 manual chairs (1 of each will be given to Coco). I don't have Gregs email, but Dr. Alejandro Aguirre Chavez will. His email is: aguirrechavez@gmail.com> Buena Suerte, Paul Boe
