On September 21, 2006, Berkeley Premium Nutraceuticals, (makers of Enzyte, which contains horny goatweed, among other things), Steven Warshak, and 5
others, were indicted by the US, on charges of conspiracy, money laundering, and mail, wire and bank fraud. The federal trial began January 8, 2008.
On February 22, 2008, Steven Warshak was found guilty on 93 counts of conspiracy, fraud & money laundering. He was sentenced on August 27, 2008,
to 25 years in prison and ordered to pay $93,000 in fines. The company must forfeit $500 million. His 75 year old mother, Harriet was sentenced to
two years in prison. Why? The stuff doesn't work!
