David K would qualify as the most prominent Baja historian.
He learned from Juanita. He probably has a 3000 square foot warehouse just to house his Baja memorabilia.

For the record (and so Jose doesn't get mad at me), I didn't name any mission, a yes or a no!
However, take a look at the building in the background of Jose's photo and then the photo with me in it...

There is a small debate if there were two site or three... Edward Vernon who authored the excellent book LAS MISIONES ANTIGUAS (in English) that is
the best Baja mission book to date believe there were 3 sites... the middle one was destroyed by crews building the graded road to Puerto Santo Tomas.
Dr. Jackson believes that site was just a new mission building, but being so close to the first site, it wasn't technically a new, seperate mission
location.
All we can see today is the first site and the 'final' site be it the second or third mission location.... Both can be seen on the first pages at http://vivabaja.com/1105

David I wonder why INAH only cares for some Missions and not others, like San Vicente Ferrer(1780-1849) it gets alot of attention and funds. Some day
somebody it's going to plow over some of this unsigned mission ruins.
