missing person san felipe, posted in Kats corner

Unfortunately, I received this email from what sounds like a frantic sister. Please respond directly if you know these people; "KAREN WRIGHT WIFE OF RANDY WRIGHT, went missing in San Felipe on 2/9/2009. San Felipe police have this on file. Please help us get this out to the PUBLIC and spread the word as fast and as soon as possible, so we can bring her home. KAREN WRIGHT is my sister and finding her would mean the WORLD TO HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS. Having your help and the publics help is critical. As her family is located within the United States and by using word of mouth in the San Felipe area is all we have at this point. Karen and Randy have two homes in the San Felipe area one downtown area, new construction, the other one is located within the Eldorado Ranch Subdivision. PLEASE SPREAD THIS LIKE WILDFIRE!!! I am the sister of KAREN WRIGHT and my name is MARCIA STEWART. Any information would be helpful in SOLVING this MISSING PERSON. Once again the name is KAREN WRIGHT, PLEASE GET THIS NAME IN THE PUBLIC. CONTACT INFORMATION: 530-894-6119; 530-521-9640 - EMAIL- skeeterm@sbcglobal.net". I wrote Marcia back and asked for a photo however, in the meantime, if you know or have seen these people or this woman, please have her get in touch with her sister.

This sounds kinda strange.
I was in SF for 4 days last week and never heard anything about this and I am in El Dorado. Also, if this happened on 2/9 and Kat at the net asked for a photo and more info, but never got anything back?? Someone needs to get her photo out and about asap.

From the Net

Posted on Kats Korner

On a sadder note, Marcia Stewart, sister of Karen Wright, who went missing on February 9, 2009 has sent a photo of Karen. Marcia said Karen spoke with her mother between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. last Monday and she said she would be leaving that day for home in Merced, I believe. If anyone has seen Karen Wright or if you have any information which would help locate her, the family is offering a reward. Karen drives a white Hummer. Here is the contact information: 530-894-6119 and 530-521-9640 - Email - skeeterm@sbcglobal.net.

Well the link to the picture doesn't work any more I guess - just go to the page and see the picture with the article

It is my understanding they have located the Hummer & dogs inside of it but not the woman as yet.
It was apparently parked in a garage at second home being built south of town. Dogs with food &water. I would assume now the dogs have been removed from it.

Interesting that the story is stuffed in the back on Kat's Korner and not in the news or current news or even the front page...Bad for business?

I am hoping for a positive outcome on this story...

Haven't had a bad trip yet....

The SF website, a few yrs. back scolded
me for suggesting they run the then current
story of an incident inside Club Pesca,
involing a attempted robbery of a guy
in a motorhome, in which the guy tried
to disarm the robber, the RV'er was
fatally shot. I told them I thaught it irresponsible
not to report it. They said
operate within Mexico as a tourist promotion
site. The recent post by a SF resident
about the Hummer being located
puts a somewhat different spin on the
story, I was under the impression
the person was driving back to
the US, Hope this plays out well

Do you perchance know how far south of town? or the name of the campo?

This is a bump...one can now rule out an accident but finding the dogs in the vehicle is probably not a good sign unfortunately. Even if there were a ransom deal...we probably wouldnt be informed about it....very scary..heads up people in San Felipe.
Kidnapping is a terrible terrible thing and just too easy to do...so people need to be more aware and take precautions for the possibility. Was this woman alone alot? NOt a good thing in mexico.

The fact the dogs were left with food and water sounds encouraging to me. What kidnapper gives you time to take care of pets?

Has anyone tried to contact the sister in the states to see if they have any more news?
I have been keeping an eye on this thread and I am wondering if she was alone, was she with her spouse? Some kind of additional information.
Have any missing poster been posted in SF?

I just returned last night from a week in San Felipe and El Dorado Ranch and didn't hear anything about this. There were no pictures posted, no one asking about this or even talking about this. It is scary that something like this can happen and no one seems to know about it. No one on the El Dorado Ranch Yahoo Group seems to know of her. I hope that this is a hoax and if not I hope someone gets down there to find this woman soon.

Whenever I hear that rainy, chill wind blow. I think it may be time to head for Mexico. Tengo que obedecer mi corazon!
