poll: tattoos and body modifications
How many Nomads have a tattoo, body piercing (other than standard ear piercing), brand, or other body modification?

Too early to draw conclusions, but my experience has been that folks who get a tat, usually get more. ditto the piercings.

I've been looking around for some of that so I can earn the nickname "Stallion" in the community. So far, no luck.

Culturally speaking!
Historically body markings have a place. On my body NO!
I did at the young age of 13 let my best friend’s sister insist I put a cross in the web of my hand. Even then it made no sense. I let her put my
initials on the calf of my leg. Today I see this distorted blotch essentially unnoticed .
I am a Marine and when given first liberty to San Clemente, the troops stormed to San Clemente for the usual USMC or a Bulldog. Then if you really
want to make a statement a nice shiny bolt in your tongue is a classic, but ya wanna really make that "statement", nothing like a slithering lizard,
blowing fire out your butt, with a nice bolt in each cheek.
My favorite is the ring in your tongue, or a 10 carat diamond that really puts you above the crowd

Like a mentioned on the other thread, I have several tat's and a piecering. I have placed them on my body so that either I can show them if I wish
(and not go to jail) or I can cover them, and not have to wear a snowsuit to do so.

I think well done tats on some brownish men can look sexy sometimes. Depends on the guy, where they're placed, what the tat is, etc. I had a Mexican
boyfriend with an ultra sexy chest (yummy!) and he looked ok with his but tats don't look good on just anyone.
I don't like them on the neck, face, head, hands, etc. Or when there are way too many or if they are demonic looking. I do think it may be wiser to
get ones that are usually covered by clothing. I also prefer my men to be non-pierced. I can stomach a pierced ear where its just a tiny hole, but
others piercings on a guy turn me off (as a potential mate).

I have pierced ears 1 hole each side, and voted as such, I guess that should be considered body piercing. But I was cursed....I got them without
parents permission and have an allergy to metals, even gold in my earlobes bother me so I rarely get to enjoy earrings.....don't tell Mom but I
shoulda listened!Connie

i have pierced ears, and used to have some other piercings a long time ago but don't use them anymore- not even earrings. I,too, have metal allergies.
The only metal that never bothers me is 24k gold.

Wow, I LOVE that crab tony...Juan is a tatoo artist...i had NEVER even thought of getting a tattoo...i HATE pain...well...never say never. I have a
nice whales tail below my belly button, a little star on my ankle and another nice vine where I cant' see it! But I would never have gotten them from
a public tattoo place...and certainly dont feel mutilated.

My son got his first tat this past Christmas. On his calf. I knew the day would come, so I just sucked it up. It's a tree, but not just any
ordinary tree. Looks like a dead tree to me. I told him that next year for Christmas he could use some markers and draw some lights and tinsel on it
for decorations.

Simone Shari, Genie who did my tattoo, is a public tattoo shop, but she been doing body art for 20 years, former ER nurse, and a fellow USAF veteran.
Todo confianza.
Your right in that California, tattoo shops are not regulated....do your research....be careful. Get one for yourself, not to make a public statement.
Shari, a tattoo below your belly button....that's one of the most painful place to get one. I think your being modest.

buck up now...laugh in the face of pain...it was a very interesting experience...but the one on my derriere hurt more! and it always gets a rise out
of the nurse here(who is male) when i have to get a shot on my butt....is this too much information???

A nice tramp stamp on some babe looks okay but it will look crappy when she's an old lady. So many people have them now that they don't represent
anything like "I'm a badass". The worst is the NBA players who tat up everything.
I think they are ugly for the most part.
I told my college kid " If you get a tattoo, no more money from me"
