what do you wish you could get down here?

I've been here for 4 months. Love it here but I wish I could buy: fresh herbs (dill, mint, rosemary, basil) Stoned Wheat Thins, California Chardonnay, razor-thin wild smoked salmon, fragrance-free toilet paper, organic peanut butter, steel cut oatmeal. *sigh* BUT: I get: fresh tortillas, fish tacos, cheap tequila. good trade-off. What do you wish you could buy at you local cantina?

100% Maple Syrup

I'm down to my last 1/4 cup. I'm being verrrry careful about how I pour it onto my fresh hot tortillas. Yeah, I miss Trader Joe's a little bit, but not enough to leave this wonderland. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I just have a hankering for some stuff. Just like when I'm back home, I miss fish tacos, Damiana, fresh limes, mangoes.... Maybe I'm just a malcontent.....

Diver, you made my GUFFAW, and I don't do that often enough. Wine value is a tough find here, despite living in the shadow of the Valle de Guadalupe.

BTW

Mike - I'm a neighbor of yours, you have always been super nice to us. This makes things a bit weird because you are a slightly mean on the internet and I'm not sure how to process this weirdness. I wish I had never posted here.

It's settled then; I will make a Trader Joe's run on my next trip down for all you underpriviledged folks who are stuck living in paradise eating fresh fish tacos, avocados, mangos and cheap beer !

I will take payment in fresh fish tacos, avocados, mangos and Negro Modelo !

and these aliens from "Planet Zugon" helped you when you needed it. Sorry that a lonely East Caper reached out and asked a silly question about smoked salmon and crackers. Funny how much you want to sit with us at an LB diner, but how mean you are when I make a meaningless comment about peanut butter.
