Los Barriles Cops

I've recently read about a new police chief from La Paz that's been running a muck in L.B. is there anymore recent news about this problem?
I've been coming down to L.B. once or twice a year for about 12 years and own a lot in Buena Vista and although it is quite common tho get shook down by the polica once in a while, I've never known it to be a problem in los Barriles. My family and I will be there next week for 10 days. Is this a real problem ???

Things have settled down. The Mayor of LB got on it, after receiving
some reports. Do not see the cops everywhere like we used to. A good lesson... if your town has problems and a good mayor, approach the mayor. Feel good about coming to LB it is peaceful and still the best!:bounce:

Wanted to give anyone interested an update on the L.B. cops.
We just returned from an awesome 10 day trip to the area, drove all over the place and not one single problem. Their were alot of policia in town due to the holiday. Everytime I saw one I made an attempt to wave and they waved back every time. Drove quads on the beach (I know:mad:) and they moved out of the way to let us by.
It's all good.
