Rebels and X-Raps and Krocs, oh my!
Hard time finding jointed Fastracs or big Krocodiles? We got 'em, plus lots of other Baja-specific tackle and lots of info on how and where to use it.

juan told me today that the new mirrolures sent down via guests are really great at hooking yellowtail but the design is flawed. While rapallas have a
steel cable attaching all the treble hooks from head to tail....the mirrolure's treble hook unit is screwed into the lure and they pull out even with
20 lb fish...seems to be a design flaw...poor juan lost 3 of the ones sent down today....sheesh.
do you think we should write the company? or just dont buy them.

shari, the older mirrolures are solid construction throughout with a steel cable attaching all hooks...sounds like they are gettin' cheap...too bad
for them...i have lots of "old" mirrolures for juan, you know that...see you soon...mike

i agree yo-zyri is the way to go. tried one today (see post above) plastic nose and wire front to back. checked my one mirro and the rear hook just
unscrews from the lure.

juan says sthe yo-zuris bend at the nose with a big fish and ya can never get them back to the proper position so they dont swim right after that.

ok then with yo-zuris bending at the nose, and mirros falling apart, and rapala magnuns with the metal nose constantly having to be adjusted the
obvious choice would be the rapala x-rap magnum with the plastic nose. BUT the x-raps don't come in purple which is the hot colot right now. the
closest color is called purple albino which is white on the sidesaccording to thier web sight.
anybody, any suggestions?

Don't any of your amigas have some sparkly purple nail polish you can borrow ??
I used to buy single color lures and paint them up to whatever I needed.
A touch of light sandpaper before you paint makes it stick better.
Also works to freshen up old lures.
