The Top Dozen Posting Nomads (today)

The top dozen highest posting Nomads are listed here. The list shows four things:

Nomad number (Doug 'Baja Nomad' is #1, first to be a Nomad); Nomad name; Date joined; Number of posts (not deleted).

After Doug, I am the oldest 'active' Nomad member... #2-#9 never/ rarely posted the first month of the first year (2002)... Explains the high number of posts I have along with my passion* for sharing what I have learned, experienced, seen in Baja....

(*some of you would say "my big mouth")

Dennis, being a newer Nomad (2006) has an amazing number of posts for such a short time!

Capt. Mike and Dave also joined Nomad in the first year, 2002 and are in the top 12.

The late 'jrbaja' and his other handle 'Ski Baja', together almost caught up to me in total posts before his far-too-early passing.

Almost making the list is bajalou, who has just over a dozen posts less than Dave.

The point is I really enjoy reading your Baja travel stories, seeing your photos and hearing of your events. Keep it up Nomads...

The List (click on Member List for more detail, at the top of each page):

#10 David K 8-30-2002 18163

#2977 DENNIS 9-2-2006 7009

#1081 Bruce R Leech 9-20-2004 6416

#1056 Sharksbaja 9-7-2004 5292

#139 jrbaja Member 2-2-2003 4863

#1096 bajajudy 10-4-2004 4857

#229 Bob and Susan 8-20-2003 4630

#105 capt. mike 11-26-2002 4426

#752 Hook Member 3-13-2004 4009

#1207 Diver Member 11-15-2004 3843

#226 MrBillM 8-20-2003 3602

#78 Dave 11-5-2002 3568

Enjoy your time on Nomad!

Thank goodness there are people that live and breathe Baja forums. The expertise provided helps the rest of us who waste our free time watching the dumbing-down tube.

I wish that Doug would remove the post count (I have asked this before)
Then the board might get more into function and less into "stuff"
just my opinion.

Diver: Sorry that you see contributions and sharing as 'bragging'... That is never the reason for my posts... As we haven't met, you obviously don't understand me or my motives. The people who know me (many here), understand that I am 'addicted with Baja Fever', and am always a nice guy to everyone... politics doesn't matter.

This writing about Baja is something I have done since I was a teen, back in the 70's... Now, nearing 52 years of age, my passion is as strong as always. It is not bragging, and as with any posts on Nomad, reading my writings here is an option.

I hope to always provide details that are of interest and help to improve anyone's Baja experience...

Have a nice day!

To Bajaboy and others, please post often with your Baja passions... it IS quantity that matters! Don't be fearful that your posts aren't high 'quality' and that some loud mouths will shoot you down. More Nomads POSTING about Baja does make Baja Nomad the best Internet source for Baja information and discussion!

To thebajarunner... there is no reward or gift for number of posts, it is just a gauge... like an altimeter showing your elevation. I don't think Nomads post just to get high rankings... Except perhaps in the beginning so they can have an avatar? I look forward to seeing more and more Baja posts from everyone with something to share here!

Since I am quite sure that you could have made your "point" without the reminder about your post count, it seems like bragging to me. I'm not sure what anyone's post count has to do with anything. The fact that Pompano is not on the "current" list is a fine example. Just my opinion... :light:

Because Baja Nomad does to show how many posts Nomads have... How else would I know who has the top 12 number of posts?

That I am one of the top 12 matters not to me... It was just time to encourage Nomads to post more Baja stories, so this is how I did it... I also bump up old stuff that may be forgotten or not seen by newer Nomads.

Now, how about something from you other than 'nasty' comments? I have told you I am not bragging and I have no reason to lie, so please accept that... Focus on Baja, not on me!

Now, I have some work to get to... See you later!

David.... you telling me the top 12 posters by count (and reminding me that you were one of the first nomads) does absolutely nothing towards encouraging me to begin a thread about my Baja adventures.

If you're so likeable in person, how about sharing that guy with us instead of this one with the seemingly huge ego? I'd so like for us to all just get along.;D:P:biggrin:
