I'll take the easy ones...

#3 Campo Rene is on Punta Abreojos ('tho I've never been there)

#4 is over the Bahia Concepcion. Not sure what what beach the picture is taken from (its been quite a few years since I've been there), but I know the artwork on the mountain is directly behind Playa Requison.

#5 is the Gustav Eiffel designed church in Santa Rosalia.

#9 is El Arco in Cabo San Lucas.

I'll have to think about the rest...

#1 is easy. Rock pile in the middle of nowhere that no one knows about except DavidK and a few Jesuit priests. But I don't think the priest are going to tell you...
But maybe it's El Camino Real.

Wow, the newbies are doing great! (LisaR. and Oggie)

Curt63: 'The abandoned, haunted church of San Roque' would be the full description for the most points... But, you win that one because there's not too much else in San Roque!

Fishbuck: I should give you a 'time out' for an "of course it's the Camino Real" dumb answer... LOL. But, I won't because you didn't mention the red light (Zona Norte) district of Tijuana.

A hint on the Camino Real photo: Search recent posts by Neal Johns! Tell me where that marker rock is.

Aloha cardonhugger: There are no special surf spots, sorry... Try the North Shore of Oahu! ;D

I have a few more (thanks for the tip on #1).

#1 is an El Camino Real marker south of Mission San Borja.

#6 is San Juan de Dios, a visiting station of Mission San Fernando.

#10 is a shrimp boat blown by a hurricane behind Bahia Santa Maria.

That's all I can figure out for now, but I love a challenge, so I may keep trying!

Excellent!!!

Of interest, the visita of San Juan de Dios was plowed over by a farmer last year. The photo was taken in 2000. The shrimp boat photo was from 1967 after the hurricane/ chubasco that messed up San Felipe and blew that boat way into the salt flats, 20 miles south. Some of the transmission is still there, it looked like. Most of the boat disappeared in the 80's.

Well I didn't mention it because everyone already knows the Camino Real goes to the Zona Norte...duh

And I think #7 is AGUA VERDE.

Number 11 is the road from San Luis Gonzaga Bay to Hwy 1 via La Turquesa Mine. :bounce:

For authenticity's sake...here are a few Turquesa photos of my own.

It is a great place. The first time I went down from the top on a dirtbike there wasn't a trail at the bottom. We had to pick our way through in 100 degree heat.

Nope, this is a 'historic' photo showing Hwy. 1 long before graders and pavement, in Mike McMahan's book.

The location is Bahia Concepcion (at high tide)... The same location is now used to access Playa Coyote as the highway was built high above the cliff... Photo below taken 50 years later (at high tide):

Correct... and the brave soul in the Land Rover is 'The squarecircle'... assisited by TW and friends!

He made it to the top and out to Hwy. 1... When I shared this exciting news with Kacey Smith (who detailed this as her 'XR Ride Up' in her GPS Guidebook)... she was not happy!

Well, it was a mine road before it became a m/c trail... Roy just showed it could be a road again!
