FELIZ DIA DE PADRES

HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all you nomad dads out there...I hope you have a fantastic day....cheers dads!

I heard a funny Fathers day story yesterday....I asked our amigo Roberto where he was going to spend fathers day and he said....I dont know...it's a secret...and he went on to explain it with this little anecdote....

on mothers day...all the men waited on the ladies hand and foot. A few days ago when the moms asked what they wanted them to do for them on father's day..the dad said....."On father's day...dont expect to find us....and dont look for us". That will be a macho party!

Here I am, 58 years old, and on Father's Day we all go out for a big dinner - and I PAY FOR IT! At what point in my life will the kids take me out and pay for it??????? Just curious, that's all.

Thanks Shari... It's a 2 day event for me this year... Yesterday, Elizabeth's kids were here and today I spend with my 2 kids... Of course they are now all of 'my kids' but they are all adults know, and life is good... Wait until you guys see what Josh and Kelly got me... (hint, they go on front of my truck)

HAPPY FATHERS DAY

Can't find where anyone has placed this topic. Hope your family is spending it with you. It is YOUR day guys, so live it up. Hopefully you all had breakfast in bed. And the newspaper was waiting your awakening!!!!! today, you are entitled to spend your day doing whatever YOU want to do. It's not negotiable, is it?

Thanks Dennis. I really did scan for the subject. after your showing me where it was posted, I scanned again, and still missed it. so one more time, and sure enough. There it was. Sorry Shari. Wasn't trying to 'step on your subject. I just didn't have my Spanish brain engaged when I scanned for it. Shari. A belated Happy Mothers Day, now that I'm thinking of it.

My daughter called me upon awaking this morning. It was just so sweet. She will buy me dinner tonight!

This is the first father's day without my Dad around. I miss him.

Happy Father's day to all!

whew...glad THAT's over ......and I hope all you dads arent as hungover as Juan is this morning...or will be when he gets up:lol: The party was at Tio Javiers place and the musicians were hot and played nonstop...well they had pee breaks...till 2:00 am. (the abalone are safe for today)
we had a great day....went to the beach, swam, sunned, rested....then served pulpo enselada and abalone dinner to our guests...drank some champagne...then went to the party...here are the guys playing music.

I heard some great stories about Juan and his father that will be in History of San Roque book! My favorite of the evening is when they were all laughing about how Juan when he was 6 years old was teaching the older kids to speak english...at night...he held a flashlight up to a notebook where had some english words...too funny...they always knew he'd marry a gringa.

Happy Times...

We had a nice day... Some of you Nomads remember my kids at Camp Gecko or Cielito Lindo or elsewhere when they were a bit smaller!

Chris is about as tall as me...

We went to Bates Nut Farm in Valley Center and fed the animals... just like we did 15-18 years ago when Chris and Sarah were really small!

Spent the afternoon with my son, Max.
He rode hs skateboard and I rode my beach cruiser down to the Newport Pier. Always alot of action down there.
Went out on the pier and watched people catch a few mackeral.
It's about 2 miles from my apartment so it's a nice easy little ride. My son loves his skateboard. I bought it for his birthday which is in a few weeks but he's being doing very well in school so I bought it early. He road it to school a few times to show it to his buddies.
Next weekend I'll try and take him on his first San Diego party fishing trip.
Everyday is like father's day when he is with me!
