Mood: Have Baja Fever

What a great weekend!

It couldn't have been better... Just Baja Angel and I, on Shell Island with perfect conditions ... I will download the camera later today and make a report on the Trip Reports forum.

Everything was fine, the dirt detour along the four lane widening is still 10 1/2 miles long (19 1/2 to 30 miles north of San Felipe) but very smooth and fast in a Tacoma.

The place was deserted... nearly! No tourists making noise at Laguna Percebu that we could see or hear (and we used to in the past)... A few skyrockets we watched to the south about 6-10 miles away (La Roca-El Vergel+) on the 4th.

Border wait at Tecate yesterday afternoon was 37 minutes... Gas was just $2.24/ gal. in San Felipe and $2.34 near the border.

Hope everyone else had fun!

On the beach, maybe about 90º to 95º daytime with mild breeze and 75º at night... In the desert, driving home it was 104º to 107º

Water guess (no thermometer) about 85º

Okay, gotta go make some money for our vacation in 2 weeks!

Those are some super gas prices! I sat at home with the dogs (after visiting my relatives in Los Angeles) and watched some Electronica videos at the casita. Here's one you might enjoy from Fragma (Germany)...
