We are going on a 3 day Cruise to Ensenada this weekend and would like to know of a place to go for killer Margaritas. Went we are in Rosario we go

Serg, your spelling sucks or you've already had too many margs... So you mean in Rosarito (not Rosario) you are near Puerto Nuevo ( not "Puerto Nevo"?
Does Nemo hang in Puerto Nevo?
Can't help you out even though we live near Ensenada as we don't go out for margaritas. We make them at home...and call them martinis.

Baja Serg, it's a tough crowd. Being a bad speller or a bad typist, either way, have a good time.

The Absolute! best margarita in the whole world....including Mexico...is at Punta Pescadero in the East Cape.
It is: 1/3 fresh lime juice; 1/3 Quantreaux liquor; 1/3 Cuervo Commemorativo tequila. Shake over ice or pour into ice with salt on the rim.
It is best to go catch a release three Blue Marlin and then be back in the cantina by 1100 and have three of these....makes for a beautiful afternoon!

"except for words that sound like A, such as in neighbor and weigh"...and all of the other exceptions!
On another note, if you take the tour bus to La Bufadora, you can get a great Cadillac margarita at La Bufadora Tequila Grill -- but only if Alex is
there to make it. No one can make them like he does.

That's a little week (continuing the spelling game) for my taste.
I make them 42-21
4 parts tequila (blanco)
2 parts Controy
2 parts fresh squeezed Baja lime juice
1 part simple sugar (Jarabe Natural)
shake with ice and strain (without ice) into long stemmed glass with minimal coarse salt on rim (too much salt is like drinking a salt lick). I only
drink one at a setting, but of course it is served in a mason jar!
Tequila and Damiana may be delicious (I don't know, 'cause I don't drink it) but it is not a true margarita, in my opinion.

This is the one, except I find that substituting a packet of Splenda for the simple sugar mix works great.

I believe the question was where in Ensenada would you recommend the Margaritas. It's been awhile since I had one in town, but my hazy recollection
is that the Hotel Bahia bar Cadillac Margarita wasn't half bad.

I'm with you on the Bahia DanO! It used to be quite the happenin' spot years ago. Now I think you need to bring your own crowd.

Thanks, Dennis. Seems like a strange name for a recipe with no particular distinction, or maybe I'm missing something.

I think the distinction is premium tequila instead of well tequila.
