MEXICAN INGENUITY AT IT'S BEST

Traveling through Baja or Mexico, we’ve all seen examples of how smart the people of Baja or other parts of Mexico are in using whatever they’ve got on hand to create, build or repair something. Very seldom does anything go to waste. Below is an example of this ingenuity…

It seems that the owner of this shop in Mexico was tired of thugs breaking in, so he came up with the idea to trim the dog to look like a lion and then spread the word that it is one. He hasn't had a problem since!!

Here…the proud beast stands guard over his domain

Here…he looks like he’s just got a bad haircut to keep maybe keep cool.

Hope you enjoyed this!

That is really funny. Only problem is that that dog has a really sweet face that could blow its cover.

Thanks

Well it makes sense, Airedales were originally bred to hunt and hold Lions at bay for the big game hunters to slaughter.

THANKS FOR THE WELCOME BACK REPLY…

Thanks to David K and Paulina for welcoming me back to the board!

It’s been quite a while since I last posted anything on Nomads. There hasn’t been any Baja trips in my life in a long time, so I just haven’t had too much to post. I have been a lurker though, living vicariously through others. I still love the Baja and will get back down there some time in the future. I’m still hoping I can retire down there in the next few years. In the meantime, I’ll keep reading Nomad and enjoying all the great trip reports and beautiful pictures.

Until I get back down there, Have a cold Pacifico or Margarita for me...mi Amigos de Baja!

I look forward to seeing you and all my other amigos again in the Baja.

And David…be sure to wish Sarah a VERY Happy Birthday for me!

Your Baja Amigo,
Amo Pescar / Miguelamo :yes::tumble::biggrin:

Maybe my dementia is getting the best of me, but I'm feeling like I've seen those photos before.
