Bravo!

To bring attention to the needs of this family, the following has been posted on our website - on 2 different pages which receive 50K+ unique views weekly.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

August 2009

"Baja is people helping people" is what author Bernie Swaim says .. http://www.mibaja.com/ Bernie has a heart bigger than the entire Baja California Peninsula and is usually the first to extend himself .. along with his lovely wife Jamie.

Anyone "Bitten by the Baja Bug" knows what this means .. It can be demonstrated in many ways .. sharing a meal from a bounty of the waters, lending a helping hand, donating to locals in need, participating in an auction to benefit needy .. and so on.

Team CABO MAGICŪ quietly does more than a fair share of this locally, in the USA and up-n-down Baja ..

In the city of Ensenada, Baja California Norte (North - we are Baja California Sur (South) - is a family in need. Their entire home burned in a freak fire and every single thing they owned is gone. Everyone is thankful there were no injuries. Maria, a hairdresser, seamstress, mom-to-all, was involved in a local massive aid campaign when this occurred. Her husband is a doctor. Their two young children are staying with relatives while they rebuild.

A paypal account has been set up for donations by Keri & Mike, hosts of The Pyramid Resort www.pyramidresort.com
Bernie & Jamie will receive material items at their home in the San Diego, California area and deliver them.
Baja Nomads website has several threads discussing this.
www.bajanomad.com is a terrific resource of info.

Lori, thank you for the kind words, but we need more than words. Jaime and I are coming down this next Monday with another load of "stuff" and will be visiting with Maria and Polo and family. We will then be heading up to Keris place Pyrimid Resort. We will be participating on Tuesday in the potluck . Jaime will be cooking up her favorite meal...NOT...she has far more talents than this. I will be throwing together something and looking forward to visiting with th eBaja folks who understand that people are here to help people. Gotta go! Jaime is a slave master and I am cooking dinner at this moment! Hope you are having as much fun in this life as we are. Go Keri Go
