Which Baja Nomads were Veterans and where did you serve? I was on a minewsweeper, MSO432--USS Dynamic. We served in the Gulf of Tonkin as part of the
MAG in 1962. How about your guys?

I have to admit I did not serve, but do have a foster son that's a 2002 West Point Grad and currently stationed at Fort Rucker .

I served in the Navy 1982 - 1987, I was a Sonar tech aboard the USS Horne CG-30 stationed in San Diego, thats where I was introduced to Baja, mostly
Tijuana but a few trips to Rosarito and Ensenada. I had a great time and saw a quite a few ports, you know when the "Navy comes in to spawn"
I did have a good time, got some education both from books and life and we weren't in any skirmishes (thank God).
It would do a lot of todays kids some good to spend a little time in the military, for those who need it it can set you on the right path in life
understanding the concept of duty,responsibility and accountabilty not to mention a dose of work ethic and teamwork, it seems some of these principals
escape a lot of the younger generation. Okay I'm done with my 2 cents worth.
Thank you to all that have served and those that are serving now my prayers and blessings are with you.

Happy Veterans Day to all you veterans out there and to those who supported you. I was in the U.S. Marines from 1970 to 1993. I retired as a Master
Sergeant and Chief Investigator for the Marine Corps Criminal Investigation Division. The Marine Motto is Semper Fidelis (Always Faithful) which I
still am to this day.
My only wartime experience occurred in the 1st Gulf War Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Hand Salute to all our veterans who died for our
country and for those souls who went missing in action and have not yet been returned home.

Although I love Baja, whenever I return from the Peninsula to the United States I am always in awe of the country I am returning to. Despite all of
its problems, the US is the best place on the planet to live, due in no small part to those Veterans who gave their time (and for many thier lives)
for the great life we enjoy each and every day.
A big "Thank You" for every Vet who reads this. We appreciate your service.

I was in the US Navy from 1968 to 1972.
Spent two years at Naval Communications Station in Rota, Spain! Great shore duty there. Wonderful place.
Then the last two years aboard the USS Inchon (LPH-12) helicopter carrier, based in Norfolk, VA. Last tour on her was six months all over the Med Sea
before I got out. It was great! "Saw a lot and experienced a whole lot more...
