Sunday 6 P.M border crossing.....

more than THREE hours....

It started off bad when we got to the end of the border road after toll road. You have to make a left turn to get to the ramp. However there are cones and yellow tape that devide the road...one side is to border other side goes to somewhere in T.J. ( you won't want to know where it goes but you will be "lost")....WELL there are no signs saying which side to be on and we are on wrong side......probably spent 20 minutes driving around and found lanes going to crossing. These lanes are on right side next to the sentri lanes. Got in line and happy to be there....EXCEPT we moved forward about 5 car lengths in the next 2 hours :fire:.....after that in began its normal movement....

Does anybody know if something happened to cause such a long delay:?:

Tecate has 20 miles of muddy torn up roads that are under construction. The same thing happen to me trying to get to the crossing at Otay and then I ended up at the other crossing. But least I made it. Traffic in Ensenada was horrible as most of the traffic lights were out. took about a hour and a half to cross.

Right Udo... Use the Free road which leaves the toll road just a mile or so north of the Tecate Highway... drive 7 miles up, past El Tigre then take the new paved road to Guadalupe... This route parallels the Hwy. 3 construction zone... and get to Tecate.
