Well.... That's about the best spelling I can come up with for you all.... And I cannot quite yet manage the Chinese Characters... but if you pronounce it right, it all adds up to

FELIZ NAVIDAD MI AMIGOS . . . ! (In Mandarin )

Since we're here in Taiwan it seems fitting to wish my fellow Nomads Merry Christmas in a couple of languages.

Have a wonderful eve & day !

djh & Shing. . . in Keelung, Taiwan, ROC (and heading to Chiang Mai Thailand for New Years :-).

Have a wonderful trip, guys. Your post tickled me because I was just talking to someone about the folks who may not have family to be with on Christmas, and may wish to go out for dinner. Experience shows that Chinese restaurants are probably the best bet to be open on 12/25.

Quite right.... in fact, we're having our family Christmas dinner out this evening at a wonderful place in downtown Taipei. EXCELLENT food and very affordable. Especially nice for me as a mostly-vegetarian (who also eats fish).

I was just chatting with another Nomad amigo about the similarities between Taiwan and Baja.... Simple, kind, generous people who nurture and treasure their families and friendships above all else.

Have a great Christmas eve and day !
