Christmas morning

Hope you all got what you wished for this morning. I'm not a humbug type but I sure didn't get all the things on my list. I really didn't expect them though because I never really bought into the naughty/nice thing. I could never really tell the difference -- needed better instructions I think. I remember being hit up side the head but it's been so long now I couldn't tell you what that was for. Maybe I have a hard time remembering things because I got hit up side the head so many times.

It's confusing. I don't remember it but I heard tell there was a time when I soiled my diapers, my caregivers thought that was a time for celebration. Now, not so much.

I'm not the only one. Like many people I couldn't sleep last night, waiting to jump up this morning and run (wobble) out to look under the tree. I just lay there running down the list of Nomads and stickin' Naughty-Nice imaginary notes on them.

Sooo, after your coffee, let's hear how you did. No lies please as that will count against next year.

Getting hugs from my wife, son and daughter... all on the same day (Christmas Eve) was the best. It is early, and I am the only one awake at the moment... Soon: Mimosas, movies at home, food family time... We are smoking a ham today.

I did buy myself Ed Vernon's new book: 'A Maritime History of Baja California' and it arrived this week!

Merry Christmas!

I woke up with my family to a beautiful day in Baja, enjoyed breakfast with my mom on the patio, and watched my son laughing and smiling with his new tricycle. Later we're off to make our rounds, eating more food along the way. And we'll finish off the day listening to the Chargers game and eating some more.

Life is good!

I was able to watch my 1 year old son open his presents. I was most grateful for that after our car accident. Merry Christmas everyone, and I hope the New Year brings you happiness.
