Updated Googling

Unable to adequately describe the Bizarre Intersection of Carranza and Card##as in Mexicali, awhile back I browsed Google's Sat View only to find it was taken prior to the renovation.

Today I found that the view shows the New Intersection.

NOW, I can describe it to friends. I Think.

I'm still curious to know if that layout has been used somewhere else or it is simply the work of a crazed engineer just before he went completely insane.

The traffic and highway engineers in Mexico don't go by their given names...they are only addressed by their titles, ENGINIERO. That way they can stay anonymous and no one can lay blame on any booboos.

BTW, I searched under google earth, and entered the intersection.
Nice aerial view, and it actually looks well planned, with the exception of the traffic circle. This intersection takes the circle to a new level.

Copy-paste for a look.

Without having actually driven through it, looking at the satellite pic doesn't really explain that much. The unique way in which the directions of traffic cross over each other controlled by signals is truly odd.

Heading North, I ONLY go through that intersection on a fresh Green. If it's already Green as I approach, I slow so that it will turn before I get there.

It's pretty easy to get through now that they've put up signage.

Hate to be picky but it is INGENIERO or Ing. But you are correct many individuals go by their title the most common being Licenciado(a)
