The Wind Caves and Mud Caves of Anza Borrego
Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is a state protected land located in Southern California primarily within eastern San Diego County, with portions
within Imperial and Riverside counties. At 600,000 acres (2,400 km2) and one fifth of San Diego County within its borders, Anza-Borrego Desert is the
largest state park in California and the second largest within the continental United States after Adirondack Park in New York. The park is a two-hour
drive away from the cities of San Diego, Riverside and Palm Springs. The park is named after Spanish explorer Juan Bautista de Anza and the Spanish
word borrego, for bighorn sheep.

Great stuff Ken... I have been to the mud caves with my daughter many years ago... there is a geocache up on top called the Mud Cave Cookie Tin we
were seeking and found.
The wind caves look cool... would like to see them.
Udo, the Baja Time sticker was a creation of Mexray, many years ago... maybe he still has some?

Great pics, Ken.
I have a photo of my Dad in one of those caves taken in 1934------he called them "the igloos". Been to them several times since that time------we
love that whole Fish Creek Area, including "Sand Stone Canyon" way up near the top of Fish Creek Wash.
I camped many times with my family in the area known as the "Carrizo Impact Area" (before it was closed to entry) back in the late '40's and early
50's----there were bombed out tanks and shrapnel all over the place then. Fun, fun!
We have been exploring Anza-Borrego for 11 years now, for a month every year, staying in Borrego Springs--------and we STILL have not seen it all!!!
Going back there in 2 days for the month of March----we hear the wild flowers will be outstanding this year.
Thanks for posting these great shots, and getting us all excited once more.
Barry

Yes... there is even an email on his sticker: ask Ken for it. I will drop Mexray a note to this thread.
