Gracias Nan & D

We are proud and exited to announce the forming of a new little soul in baja. While we wanted to wait a bit longer to let you all know...well...the proverbial cat is out of the costal.

While this new baby was not planned, it is welcome and we look forward to having a little tyke around the camp. Wooo hooo I'm gonna be an abuelita!!!

the cosmic thing is that this insistent soul wangled it's way into our family in the very same spot where I got pregnant in Ojo de Liebre whale lagoon during mating season!!! bizarre and wonderful....the spirit of the whale lives on.

Sirenita is doing very well, eating like crazy sporting a cute little bump. She and her partner Adrian are back living in Asuncion and will continure their studies in the future.

In the meantime, we are planning a fun project for them to work on this summer(to be announced later). It is awesome to have them here to help us out on our various projects...Juan has Adrian on the rockpile and he is a fantastic cook so we are all eating very well.

Baby is due right in the middle of tuna season which will be a challenge...mid november...what a year this will be!

Sirena has been such a blessing in my life and her baby will be another. Felicidades my darling.

Thanks to all for the congratulations, it truly is a blessing to have such good friends and a supportive family. It means the world to us to be able to share this happy time in our lives with all you special nomads and I sure do hope you can all get down sometime to meet the new arrival!
As my mom said, it was not planned, but in my opinion, being a mother is the biggest and most special honor and gift that God could give me and both Adrian and I are enjoying every minute of the count down, working hard so the baby will have the best and be a happy little one.
A big special thanks to all of our friends who have been very supportive and have had some great advice.
And...a big sloppy kiss and a bear hug to nan & D who have always been there for us and whom we hold very near to our heart.

Love you guys!!!

So next year, Sirena, we'll expect you at the Mother's Day celebration, no? From what I can see, Bahia Asuncion moms rock -- you sure do! And Shari, someone will need to do crowd control as we all flock to see the newborn and family. I know you will be a super grandma, just like you are as a mom. Congratulations to Papa Adrian, the best chef in the village and proud papa-to-be. Juan, I can see you now with your great smile and sparkling eyes as you take your turn at baby holding. I bet you'll have that baby out fishing in no time. I'm glad to have a ring-side seat!

What an adventure you have begun. You will make a great mom and that you and that kid will be lucky to be around such a wonderful community, rare now-a-days! S/he will have nature built in the same way you and your mom do! Lucky kid.

Mrsfish and I hope to see you around the time of the birth of your first! Woopie!!

Yes I agree that there is no where else better for us to raise our baby, we had thought of other options but I knew I could never spend such an important time of my life away from the place and people I love.

Congratulation's, and I agree with you and to this day call my sons my most precious gift from God, they are 27 & 29. When my youngest son got married I ask his wife to take care of my most precious gift from God and she replied that he is also her gift from God so therefore she is honored to do so! Wow, she knows how to get to here mother-in-law!

Blessings to all of your families on this joyous occasion. Connie
