UNIONS OUT OF BAJA !!

Keep the Unions out of Baja!!

Now Pescador Don"t get Riled up til I am finished.

Harry Bridges was one of my early heros. I am very much for unions of People who build cars, and Load Steamers, but when it comes to running People that is wrong.

Teachers Unions is the Worse thing to ever happen to this Great Country.
Reagan stopped the Air Controllers.Thank Goodness.

Can you remember there was a "Cooperative" in Loreto at one time right after the Road opened. What a Farce. Anyone who wanted, that had a boat could be in it. Unsepecting Fisherman from the States did not get to choose their Capt. The Union did. Most of the guys were Taxi Drivers.

It lasted about 2 years.

Unions have no business representing people, It is very much like a Socialsit Country thing. Everybody shares in the same amount, except the "Elite leaders' who live like Rich Americanos{Owners of the Factories.}

Please let us all fight the organizing of any Union in Baja. Let us enjoy Freedom!

Yes, Yes, we should all get together, make protest signs, create some chants and march in mass through the towns, cities and countryside. Yes indeed, we should all become very politically active in Baja---it is our job.:rolleyes::o:o

Skeet, you go first!

Wait a minute, wasn't it you who said we should all just leave all the culture alone and accept everything as a part of the culture, including corruption?

Wow! I always thought something like slavery might have been one of the worst things to happen to this country. Skeet-you've fallen off one too many horses.

Can never say that Skeet is not amusing. From what I've been able to cobble together, he has lived a life filled with many interesting journeys and many interesting jobs, in a number of locales. Just want to make a tip of the hat to Skeet, because so few of us could ever imagine what he has done, and witnessed. That said, addressing unions- I often get a pain in the pit of my stomach as I witness the widespread bashing of the union movement in the uS. Virtually none of us who are still above ground and posting on this forum were witness to the incredible abuses committed by the business community in the early part of the 20th century. It was, in fact, especially after WWII when the union movement was instrumental in creating a vast and vibrant middle class in America. Perhaps the halcyon days of the American empire. But, as the century went on, especially with the election of Reagan, who notoriously fired the traffic controllers, the union movement fell out of favor, despite the fact that it was probably the single most important factor in making the USA what so many folks today seems to feel that it is. Alas, it's no longer true.

All quite true, and middle class wages have been stagnant ever since, while the wealthy have become mega-wealthy.

Bajahoood"
You are so right in that the Unions did so good for getting the wages of a Autoworker to $70 per hour so that they could buy those
430, ooo dollar cars .end their Kids to good Colleges.

What Happened?
Teachers Union took over the Schools and ruined a lot of Kids.
No respect
No Disipline
No Honor
Then along comes WqlMart, Chinese Goods, Etc.

Did the People just decide it was not worth the Time and Effort..?? I do not know but it convinced me that Baja would never be any good for Unions.

Think about what would happen if all the Rich Stockholders of the Car Companies sold their Stock, the People stopped buying Cars. Wow! Sure would be a lot of people looking for a Job!

I have no idea how to tweet, twitter, fritter or whatever the "kids" do now days. I do not believe I know you and hope that you are just having a bad week with your outrageous comments.

I have no intention of debating you because as Willie Shakespeare said,

"I would you challenge to a battle of wits, but I see you are unarmed!"

Hope you feel better
