Buena Vista Home Invastion

Just received the below by email. Anyone have any further information?

READ BELOW....
--- I just got off the phone with Woody and Donna Sale. It was an absolute home invasion at 1am.....the were both tied up...with wire and duck tape by two men with two kids who just walked into their yard when woody went out to find out what was going on. They had screw drivers that they poked them both with repeatedly, also held a flare gun to both of their heads till they told them where the $$$ was. All of her jewelry was taken, even the ring ripped off her finger and her knuckle dislocated in the process. They both believe the home invaders knew who they were and what they were after. They took many other things in the house while Woods and Donna were tied up. They put duct tape over her mouth and almost over her nose where she could not breath....They also threatened to come back and kill them if they went to the police. VERY VERY SCARY.....

Screwdrivers versus two squirt bottles (wielded by two people) loaded with essence of Habanero, I wonder who would have won? At 1:00AM when I take a look-see my quarter-full (all the way full is too heavy) bottle is in my right hand.

This reply is no joke. The reach of squirt from a "high quality" chemical squirt bottle is formidable, especially when you can get off three or four squirts. Contact with the eyes disables INSTANTLY. Want revenge...when they go down give 'em a squirt in the mouth or up the old tooter.

Another thing that works is motion detection lighting. Crooks, like rats, do not like to be spotlighted.

They are basically next to each other.

Let's hope the police apprehend the thugs.

Let's also hope that this is a truly random incident, or that there was actually a specific reason for the crime against these people.

Scary to think that the area might fall prey to some brazen criminals.

Always liked how laid- back the area is, while still having decent amenities.

This IS really bad news! First report seems to me like a gang type invasion. Bring young ones to learn the trade I would think there is a very serious problem. Hope the local law takes a strong stand on this. I'm glad no one was seriously injured.

Ah.......wouldn't even need to leave the house if you had a laser pointer. Just aim through the window. Something magical happens to people when a red or green laser dot appears on their chest.......and if that doesn't work, just move it up a little................

Another word of advice....if you hear or see something outside.........STAY inside, turn on all the outside lights, leave the inside dark.

the laser pointer idea is interesting... I have an hand-held infrared thermometer that looks like a small pistol and send a red laser dot a long distance. Of course if the bad guys are armed and you put a red dot on their chest, they will shoot back immediately. no?

Woosh........I would use a green laser......and if that is the case, I would use it to see what color their eyes are.

In my experience with criminals, as soon as a laser dot is on their bodies, they either run or stop with hands up.

You should pick one up. They are really cheap and do some experimenting with it

I would build my house like a prison. No one would enter without my knowledge. If they found a way, they would wish they hadn't.

This is close to home and spooky. This is my biggest fear. This is also the reason I don't go outside at night when the dogs bark without being armed with several weapons. I will no longer go out. I will sit in a dark window with my 22cal air rifle and aim for the teeth!! and/or the balls!!!

I used to go out with a powerful flashlight, a large knife tucked in my belt, a can of bear mace in the pocket and a hickory ax handle I my hand.

My wife is inside with a 12ga flare gun.

Tip about flare guns....take apart the shell and polverize the material inside...this way the flare gun will throw out a cloud of extremely hot flame that will roast the SOB head to toe!!!

There was a mention by chnlisle that I was posting on another site about recent Beachcamp crime. It was a response to another post telling our community that house robberys were happening frequently in a specific area.
My response:

I have to assume Fisher Camp has no security and it should be obvious to
everyone awaiting their turn to be robbed that it's time to spend some money and
hire a guard.
What other Campos are on the waiting list? It's only a matter of time before
the scum will be along to have their way with you.
Word travels fast in the underworld and when the chances of getting caught are
zero, it's an open invitation to redistribute your wealth.

No one else will come along to reinstill that secure feeling. The community has
to do that itself.

Dennis......sounds like the incidents at Fischer Camp are burglaries as opposed to robberies?????
