9/11

Grover,

Glad to say I was out of the job by 9/11.
lots of guys I worked with lost their sons in that nightmare....

FDNY vs NYPD or Port Autority or all other Rescue Services......

There were 500+ rescue workers that gave their lives for others, remember that
343 of them were Firefighters....
FDNY has about 9000 men, NYPD has about 40,000.....do the arithmetic....

Two of the bosses that perished along with the Chaplain, I had worked almost every day with for three years, Bill Feehan and Donald Burns....My last years on the job, were spent downtown, if I had been still working, myself and the Ass't Chief of Dept. I worked for would have been one of the first on the scene.

All is timing..............

FDNY vs NYPD, would still rather be a Firefighter, the Police have their own horrible circumstances to put up with...
Rate of suicide, divorce, alcholism...every day they work, especially in major city ghettos, they rub shoulders with the worst of the worst......

Will be home in Baja in September, can't wait!

You Capt George,

I read your post, I am so sorry and yet so proud of all the policemen, firefighters in NYC , plus all those Americans who helped.

Can you tell me about your place and the area you live?

Are there other homes there?

Can't find anything about it on the computer.

Thanks, Sea Trumpet

Lavantana/El Sargente??

Did you try to find something on these places?

Where I live there is very little of anything, Pemex, 65 miles away, bank in Santa Rosalia 100 miles, desal aqua,
and it's colder (Pacifico) then the area between Loreto and LaPaz....

Check out Laventana, still think that would fit your needs best....

Good Luck George

Hey George,

Do you ever make it up to Asuncion? We had some friends there, (The Monkey Surf Team). Locals from the area.
Musta been at least 10 years ago. Anyway, really good guys and probably longboarders by now!!
Isla Asuncion is a really fun place to go for wildlife shots.
If I happen by Abreojos, anything you need ?
