Silver or Lead?
I found a copy of "Silver or Lead" and thought I'd share. It's a highly praised article about the La Familia cartel that appeared in the May issue of
The New Yorker magazine.
It's a pdf file and a little blurry. I'm found it easier to read by saving it to disk and opening it with Acrobat.

All I see is the abstract. The link to the full article requires a subsciption. I read the bootleg pdf version I posted a link to.

If it's silver, it probably came from Mexico. If it's lead, it was probably made in China.

I found the article interesting in describing how the cartel has integrated into a local region.
Very in-depth description of the cartel; its 14 pages.
