Well, I should hope so, .... some of those temps Russ was putting up... looked like 2012 had already arrived... and the sun was about three feet from his location...

Here in Vera Cruz, (away from the coast), it was so chilly yesterday that I wore a turtle neck pull over, first time since I have been here. Having done so many summers in Baja I find having to snuggle under a comforter with chilly toes and fingers kind of delicious.
Still, the weather change points to time to pack up and head North, I miss home.

Yeah, his last "outing" up in the state of Oregon, seems to have had a devastating impact ... on his entire life...

This guy can't get a break... really wonder how he will be remembered in history...
and if he ever got his electrical bill down to below $30,000 dollars a year.. WOW.. Now that is an electrical bill....

Climate is the last of this guys immediate concerns at the moment... I would guess.... but, then what else does he have at the moment... glad someone is still at the issue...

well, he was the rightfully elected 43rd president of the US until the supreme court aided and abetted the coup by GW Bush and his dads friends.

to me, al will always be the true 43rd president in that dark period of US history where US govt was taken over and looted by republicans, ending in economic colapse and ruin of the american dream :fire:

p.s. i wish someone would learn how to use the macro setting on camera so those pics of temp gage would be in focus

I guess Al (and goat) believed that commie book that said if you tell a lie enough times it will be believed to be truth.

The economy was booming* until congress changed hands in Jan., 2007. It was been dropping like a rock ever since, worse after the White House changed hands in Jan., 2009.

*Really amazing considering we suffered the worse attack on the U.S. in our history in 2001 (9 months following the 8 years of Clinton as Commander in Chief)...
The boom after 9-11 shows you what dropping the tax rate for everyone can do... and not making business (which creates wealth) the enemy.

the economic boom was mostly due to housing price bubble linked with US citizens spending their house equity on vacations, plasma TVs and granite kitcken countertops; mortgage issuers making bad loans; and wall street gambling with derivatives for mortgages.

dk: you are an idiot to blame the mess on democrats or redumblicans. the fault lies with home owners, banks, wall street and the financial system regulators. GWB was clueless throughougt the melt-down. and everyone knows the final election decision was rigged by supreme court majority of conservatives.
people who want smaller government and slashing of regulatory agencies at any expense are the fools who have not learned a lesson.

Goat agree with you on all but a couple.. Don't think DK is an idiot.. rather he has a very different view on things which took place.. durning the years which are being discussed.

As for being rigged... perhaps, but the "electoral College" is something that has been around for a while... just that most of the time everyone has been in sync...

GWB and most all of the rest all knew full well what was going on... and condoned, and facilitated the insane spiral of "equity" in SFR/Commercial Real Estate, and the idiotic foreign policy along with "Guns and Butter".. which everyone know one can not do .... but it made more money, and it's that the goal of all, more money, so you can have MORE...

Well, we are all now stuck with one big mess... and about the only way to get it straight... get all the money back.. Which has been given to the Banking, Insurance Industries and then send Delta Force along with the Marines into get all American Dollars stuffed into Swiss Bank Accounts.... Period.

All that money.... would seem to have just disappeared .... much like that oil spill in the Gulf... fat chance ... we will be seeing a legacy of Health and Environmental problems for decades from that mess also ...

Also, having "Regulatory Agencies" which do not regulate, seems a bit silly.. as the Dept. of Interior sure in hell was not following Regulatory edicts on how to do oil development, and SEC and the OCC were certainly not doing anything either... so slashing their staff and/or budget seems fair.. as they are not doing anything... guess it could have been worse if they had not been there to soften the impact to our economy .... but, can't say I can really see how...

The rest I agree ...

Took my bait...

Interesting on what you waited to return to Nomad for Roberto...

Was it a trip report or some travel help or to share a special moment?

No, ir was to try and show me as wrong about N-zi vs. commie book author! LOL

Does it really matter, is it really important which dictatorship promoted lying to the people? The point is the former vice president has been lying, to line his pockets and promote government power over the people. :light:

this lies at the feet of Barney "i never met a hot dog i couldn't smoke" Frank and Chris Dodd who neglected their duties on oversight at their committee and promulgated an event over time they knew, or should have known was going to steamroll.

yes, bad lending - and due to no oversight.

but to properly recover and achieve balance we need a hands off in the free markets - less taxation spurring more cap investment.

because the fed controls the $ supply and not DC - there has to be some regulatory controls by the watchdog or lender demand for new money to hand out willy nilly will again expand a false valueless bubble.

I guess you were ignoring the fact that everyone but you knows.

If they did a recount of all of Florida (not just the counties that AlGore wanted, the results would have been the same.
