Baja California Tourism live on the radio
Hi Baja Fans:
I hope you will listen to the Baja radio show this
week (Aug.
10th, 1-2pm Pacific) as Lic. Teresa Matamoros from the
Baja
California Tourism Office will be live in studio.
She will be promoting Baja California, answering
questions from callers, emails and myself. Should be a
fun and informative show.

Feel free to call or email in with any questions for
her. We'd love for you to be a part of the show.
Thanks,
Ted Donovan

Welcome Ted!
Glad you made it onto Nomad! I read my emails first, so I guess you can ignore my instructions, as you posted this before I sent you that email!
Best of luck on your radio show... and we will be talking...

Yes, thanks Ted for mentioning the fiesta, Antonio's businesses, and my email to RSVP for the party.
I am a little concerned about two pieces of information your guest gave on today's show.
1) She was starting to say the tourist cards are free for up to 7 days.. then it seemed there was an interuption and the answer changed to 'you don't
even need to stop to get one at all (from a no fee tourist card to none at all), for 7 days or less'.
As she wants tourists to come to Baja, the less hassle at the border the better (and I agree). However, she does not represent Mexico Federal
Immigration & Naturalization (INM), the agency that issues the tourist card (fm-t, visa).
2) The advice to the mother wanting to bring her children into Mexico without the father (who she is seperated from)... The tourism office person said
no one at the border will bother the mother. While this may be true, if she does get the red light and is asked to show the NOTORIZED slip (as
required by Federal Mexican authorities) from the missing parent (permitting her to take the kids into Mexico), she may be very mad at the answer from
the Tourist Secretary.
Just some things to consider...
