Canadians Q&A

I need some info on GIS - any Canadians getting it? Can you private message me so I can make visa decisions. ;)

Thanks, Wendy

Although I'm not Canadian [I'm sure you can tell by looking at me] what is GIS? I'm from Borneo and we tend to catch things easily and I want to be prepared.

I preferred your response last time, MGBRTFLO, IHTES.

As to the question if Canadians are getting something, for their sake, I would wish that they got some.

Something like "fun tickets" courtesy of your concerned government?

I was on my way with the beer a few times, but something happened to it on the way.
Right now I'm headed over to the Old Mission Brewery. It's the only place around here that will allow Borneonians to sit at the bar without removing the bones from our noses.

Do Canadians get "MGBRTLFO, IHTES" from a kwerty or a toilet seat? Has it spread across the line to Baja yet? :?::o:o:lol:

Thanks, Wendy

Friend of mine caught GIS one day in British Columbia....he felt the name didn't describe the ailment enough so he changed it to "Cat Scratch Fever". He even wrote a song about it.

You guys really go off on your tangents eh?

That should give you a new "tangent" to amuse yourselves with.

Seriously, I enjoy this forum because you guys are so funny. Every topic is a box of chocolates!:lol:

GIS = Guaranteed Income Supplement. It's offered to Canadians who don't have big bank accounts.

But I need to know how the government determines if you don't go back to Canada every year? The GIS is actually for Canadians living in Canada and I suppose, spending their allowance in Canada.

Anybody know? :?:

I think the US version is SSI...Supplimental Security Income or something like that. It's welfare from the federal government for qualifying folks who don't have a pot to pee in nor have developed a Social Security fund through working. It isn't just given to the lazy...it's for the sick or disabled and those of Social Security age.

For sure, those on SSI are not allowed to be in Mexico for a prolonged period. Why would they be? I, for one, would have serious opinions concerning a person on welfare improving his tan in Cabo.
Very serious opinions.

Of course, I'm not from Canada.
