Went last October. Great place, but spend a day in Cairo, see Luxor and Alexandria before leaving.

Thanks, Gull..been there, too...during the last war between Israel and Egypt..maybe I can catch the next war while touring the soon-to-be looted remains of the great library and ancient city.

OF COURSE I AM KIDDING ABOUT THE LOOTING...A NEW RESPONSIBLE GOVERNMENT JUST WOULD NOT DO THAT..LIKE IRAQ....;)

i was in the mediterranean when the liberty was torpedoed by israel...i was on the carrier "america"...we pulled alongside and offloaded their dead and wounded and just about everyman aboard the america gave blood...not a pretty picture...not a lot of time that trip to see pyramids but we're going back....geez...i guess that was a long long time ago...1967 or thereabouts
