Donated trailer needed for Loreto dog shelter
The private dog shelter in Loreto is in need of a donated or low cost trailer for a caretaker to be able to live in on the shelter lot. US tax
deduction can be given
for a donated one through our US-based non-profit. Anyone have a good lead?
One already in BCS would be a bonus!
PS. There are currently about 50 dogs of all sizes and ages available for adoption!

you will fit right in here. you know how to push nomad buttons
or perhaps you were not aware that nomads value dogs more than their own children and certainly value dogs above the meek or the poor.

That's a good one. I think I'll lay in some sesos e tripitas en salsa de huitlacoche for the next group of Jehovahs that come knocking.

Newbee Aimee76—you are a missionary? You lack of compassion would seem to OUT YOU as something other than a missionary! You do not know us, nor do you
know anything about us or what we do! Read www.marisolhiguera.com and see if you still choose to judge so harshly those about whom you know nothing. As far as we are concerned, anyone who
does anything to benefit the magnificent peninsula so many of us love and respect is welcomed to break bread under our roof any day. Unconditional
love knows no bounds.

I just see so many PEOPLE LIVING IN LESS THAN shacks, and kids who eat at our tables who will scrape up stuff that falls on the floor to put in their
pockets so they can have a bite to eat later that night that I am so sorry I do not agree with Americans funding dog shelters in Mexico or paying for
dog food for street dogs when children are LITERALLY STARVING an hour from the USA Border.
I never said I was a Christian or religious , a missionary is someone who was "sent" to care for the poor, not necessarily by the "Christian" Church.
I just happen to value human quality of life over animal quality of life and I am sorry but I still think it is stupid to waste money keeping these
animals alive. Your are right, I do not know exactly what you are doing. I have only heard. If you are humanely putting them down and not spending
valuable resources on maintaining them then I give you 5 stars.
( years ago my 2 year old was attacked by a dog whose dog lover mama refused to obey lease laws on the beach...........
My little girl's face after many surgeries will never be the same.
That lady's attitude was not sorry that her huge shepherd attacked my child who was 1/2 a foot away from me on our own beach blanket. She seemed to
think that "he" had as much a right to run free on the beach as any human being.
The lady actually had the nerve to tell me as I waited for the ambulance that she thought her dog's life was equal in value to my daughter's life.
I love dogs. I have 1. She sleeps with me and goes everywhere I go.
I just think that Americans at times seem to arrive here with blinders on and refuse to be able to see reality or what they can do to change
it........................
Like I say, hopefully you euthanize and don't eternally support these animals if they can't be adopted out.
I am just as entitled to my own opinion as are you...........and my opinion will always be that a child's life is much more valuable and worthy of
financial investment than a dogs. A dog will never grow up to win the Nobel prize, or be the next astronaut or to change the world. We have hopes that
the children we work with could have that capacity. Just my not so humble opinion.
Imagine how many more children could be fed with the finances you are utilizing to care for these dogs?? Do you actually ever contemplate that? Or do
you agree with the woman I met on the beach? I'd love your answer as much as you don't care for mine I am willing to listen to you and agree to
disagree..........
PS NO belief in Christian "Fairy Tales" required to help anyone in my book.

I’m really trying to give you the benefit of the doubt in your judgments of others. As much of a dog lover that I am, I don’t think any level headed
person would consider the life of an animal the same importance as a life of a a human being.
With the above being said, (my apologies for using bajahowodd favorite phrase) I think you are way out of line in your assessments of causes that are
not human based. If one devotes their energies and $ to the American Cancer society, does that make them wrong by not by devoting the same or some
energies if they give to the Red Cross and or/ “save the polar bear?” There are many compassions that we feel for and because one like to spread their
$ and energies to a non human based compassion, that does not make them a bad person as you have suggested.
I do not know you, but in my opinion I think you need to take a step back and look at the big picture, not just yours.

I hate to dignify Aimee76's idiotic reply to Marla Daily's request for a trailer with a response, BUT
Animalandia and all the folks associated with it (volunteer Vets, assistants, fund raisers, animal lovers and contributors)
have done incredible and well appreciated work that benefits the citizens of Loreto and the PUBLIC HEALTH of the community by spaying, neutering, and
controlling the animal population.
Back in the 80's when I arrived on the Loreto scene there were packs of feral diseased dogs running around dragging garbage everywhere......and no
help from the underfunded Municipal government to do anything about it.
VIVA ANIMALANDIA!!!! They have done an enormous service to the community.

I concur, our little town is much safer now to walk on the beach. Hope Marla was successful and I really appreciate her efforts. We need more Marla
Daily's and much, much less of Aimee76'. I wish Aimee would troll about 46 miles due south west of Cabo
