April Fool . . . .
Not my kind of joke,
but.....
got my attention until I realized what day it is.....
I was in Mexico (88/89 ?) when the peso was devalued and it created a mess and lots of hardship for so many Mexican people, families, businesses . . .
Its all just stuff and some numbers.
A day spent sailing isn\'t deducted from one\'s life.

Reminds me of, back in the day, 2500 pesos to the
dollar, maybe more, '83 or so, one didn't cash in
more than a few dollars at a time, because of inflation
in Mex. I saw a photo from 2006, peso was 10.80,
it hasn't moved much

It's 11.83 to 1 at this moment. Down [or up...depending how you look at it] about 8% from less than a year ago.
I don't feel like researching exact times or numbers, but I'm in the ballpark.

Cambios charge an extra 2%, mas o menos. Money launderers have to do something to at least look legitimate.
The 11.83 is the official rate. Banks charge fees too so nothing is what it seems. It's best, for me anyway, not to worry about it.
