Conchas y Vinos Nuevos May 1, Ensenada
Any Nomads attending this Sunday's Mollusk & Wine fest at the Cruiseport Marina?
Looks like tickets, 300 pesos, are still available at the Pro Vino Website For your approx $27, you get all of the food and wine you can handle from Noon to 5pm.
The food, wine and people watching scene at the 2010 event was splendid. BYO wine glass and sunscreen.

Photo of crowd after having our fill of gourmet seafood and too much wine. Slightly smaller turnout yesterday than the 2010 festival. This party is
an annual must for all of you that missed it.

Seriously?? 300 Ps and you have to bring your own glass? How much could that plastic stemware possibly cost?

Ridge, thanks for edit prompt on my photo url.
BigBoy, Great to see you and Ms BB. Thanks for your pix and would like to see more from your recent adventures.
Dennis, this is the sommelier spoon that I use at these snob events.

nah nah nah a good wine would never be OK in a plastic wineglass
besides, think of all that waste.
such a grand idea for everyone to bring their own glass - I love it !
the pics look like it was a lot of fun - wish we were closer so we could go.

Seriously, put us on the "to notify list" for next year's event. You know
we'll show up for anything with VINOS in it's name. I'll even bring the cash way ahead of time (for the tickets), bajadoc. The registration site says
the tickets are $250 MN.
Could you possibly buy me two tickets, and we'll met you there early Sunday, bajadock? I'm sure we can russel up some old wine glasses.
You know my cell#...if not Kathleen has it.
Muchas Gracias!

Udo,
I have you on my google calendar for April. K and Bajamigo are likely better tuned in to the culinary events than me. So stick with them for news.
Also had interesting conversation Sunday about counterfeiting of tickets at past events like the opening night of Fiestas de la Vendimia at the
Riviera last August. Lines were long at that one and food ran out very early causing many to swear "never again" attending.
Ticket bar codes were scanned and recorded upon entering at Sunday's event.
