Can anyone give any type of review on this place? Seems like it was actually open last week......

We Ate There Maybe Four Years Ago?

Anyway, it was before all the drug cartel meltdown.

The owner/operator at that time said that his mother, a Hollywood starlet from the 40's, had built the place as a vacation getaway,

Atmospheric place, very interesting architecture, lots of nostalgic pictures and other memorabilia decorating the rooms.

Sitting in the glass-walled dining room that overlooks the ocean became extremely uncomfortable as the sun set.

Do you notice that I am not talking about the food? It was not good and also the drinks were way gringo overpriced.

But, that was then and I do not know anything about what it is like now.

Thanks for the replies. I think we'll skip this one! Las Olas Grand has opened their own restaurant now--breakfast, lunch and dinner. View is absolutely to die for, food is great, if a little overpriced.....IMO......so we can have a really tasty meal without having to drive anywhere at night--a big plus for those of us whose eyeballs aren't so great at night and whose cars can't handle the pool-sized potholes.....;)
