I've entered a contest...

...and need some votes! The grand prize is a $50. gift card for Miner's Ace hardware. If I win I plan on using the $ towards a new skill saw. (If I don't win I'm still going to end up buying one, a to me from me birthday present.)

My Nomad amigos who have Facebook accounts can help me towards my skill saw reward by "liking" my entry photo on Miner's Ace Hardware's fb page.

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Miners-Ace-Hardware/107375878...

The contest is over on Sunday, Oct. 16th. Winner announced on the 17th.

Mil Gracias in advance!

When I click the link that (now) is in Paulina's post, it takes you right to her painting (Pumpkin Patch of Peanuts fame).

Here's a photo that I took this morning, not the exact photo that I entered in the contest, but you can't miss it!

Thank you!

Task accomplished----but if you win that skill saw, I hope to see Pig-Pen included in your next Peanuts display---he always was my favorite. :-)

Good Luck!

Thanks guys, I have my fingers crossed! As far as additions to the Peanuts gang, I plan on making more. The original Charlie Brown in his ghost costume with too many eye holes cut out, as well as Lucy in her green witch mask were lost in a move. The Charlie Brown in the photo was borrowed from the Christmas set that will replace this one come December. Pig-Pen was also a ghost, a very dirty, dusty brown one. I'll be sure to make him too! I made these in 1995. With the help of Miner's hardware I'm able to put them up year after year, ie the touch up paint, mounting hardware and electrical goodies. The giant pumpkins were a steal at $12. ea at Nipomo pumpkin patch. We filled the back of Dern's toyota with the pumpkins in the photo as well as two other large ones (over 200lbs) for my classroom. I think I'm addicted to this pumpkin patch. If Dern weren't working on his lumber rack today I'd have already made another trip. I couldn't talk him into taking the Grandby off of my truck. I think he was afraid of what I would come home with if he did.

Thank you again for all of your encouragement!

Paulina the artist!

Sorry, not a good photo... In July, 2001 at Cielito Lindo was M's BBBB #1... Paulina painted a perfect Amigos de Baja logo that was displayed in our group photo (it's on the left). El Camote filmed/ taped her making it for his video of the event:

Well I tried to solve this mystery by going on Dern's laptop using the link I provided. I too got the Miner's main fb page, but didn't see my photo. One other photo came up, a house painting project.

Dern doesn't have a fb account. After I logged into fb on his laptop my photo came up.

Were you signed in to fb when you clicked on my link?

I don't know if that helps any, but I appreciate that you tried!

Maybe because I am on Facebook or maybe because Paulina is one of my FB friends, but that link takes me right to her photo in her homepage (or whatever it is called).

"Liked" the hardware store and found a schoolchum also "Likes" that hardware store. Small world!

We'd love to help you, and its a great little holiday scene, but we can't find.

When I click on your link it opens FB and automatically signs me in to my FB account. But it takes me to the Miner's Hardware homepage, not Paulina's "wall" as DavidK describes. If we all have to be your friends to vote, you're going to be busy!
