coco cabanas in loreto
wow!...we just got here a couple of hours ago....thought we would get away from mulege for a couple of days and had heard through the grapevine about
this place....so we followed the handmade signs, almost giving up at one point because we couldn't believe there would be a pot of gold at the end of
the rainbow....we finally wound our way down a little dirt track in the middle of town and ended up here; in nirvana!...wow! again!...this place is so
off the beaten track that i almost hate to let other folks know about it...two heated pools, big thick new american beds, all the amenities and priced
right!..beachgirl told me not to announce it to the world but i just can't help it; this place is just an incredibly nice surprise right in the middle
of loreto....we can see the soc from our private two story veranda and the town plaza is 3 blocks away..the malecon and marina are 1 block away...the
proprietor, stephen, went out of his way to take care of us and point out all the "hot spots" in town...a big film library and huge flat screen tv,
custom coffee, purified water and ice in the fridge, and, TA DA, a nomads discount!!!...i'm pretty sure this is where we will spend all of our
"getaways" from now on..be sure and mention you are a nomad when you get here....this place is very very cool!

Thanks for posting mike, I'm looking forward to trying them next time through. We usually travel with pets, can you find out what their pet policy is
while you're there?
Hope to see you on our way North, hi to Roz......dt

Hola, dt!
We and our dog stayed at Hotel Tripui in Puerto Escondido. There is a pretty cute young lab helping out with security duties. Pretty and relaxing
place, website says they have pet beds! Very nice service in the restaurant, beautiful grounds. Very nice staff and accomodating management (we parked
our rig in a gated lot). We liked the atmosphere so much we stayed another night.
Good to be back,
j

Recently stayed there, and it was great. Also, just had to wonder about their next door neighbor. The Desert Inn. Way long in the tooth, but fronting
some amazing beachfront. The folks that own it have been having a fire sale. Hence, the Los Pinos folks bought the properties in San Quintin and
Catavina.
But, in my opinion, whether one needs to scape this to the ground, or just rehabilitate the property, I really don't know why this prime property has
not been sold to developers with vision.

We asked about the pet policy yesterday, and it seems a unit or two will be designated to accept well-mannered pets, so that's great news!
