The best Noche Buena deals are after the holidays. The year is on the bottle, so the stores drop the price until their inventory is depleted. Can't
sell 2010 beer in 2011.

Worst beer ever made. Please do not litter. You can get rid of yours by dropping it off with me.

I drank a BUNCH of this stuff in San Felipe in 2008. Honestly, I think that they just put Dos Equis in bottles with Poinsettia adorned labels and its
nothing more than a marketing ploy. I know - BLASPHEMY! That said: It WORKS for me! H.

Nah, it's got more body than XX.
BTW, when Dos Equis was fairly new to the USA, some food critic described it as "like the laughter of a maiden being chased by her lover on a warm
summer night"
I still like it in spite of that insufferable A-hole in the TV commerciials.

Actually, I could take or leave the beer, but the voiceover lines in those commercials are great. Some gems:
If he were to pat you on the back, you would list it on your resume.
Both sides of his pillow are cool.
He’s won trophies for his game face alone.
He bowls… Overhand.
He is the life of parties he has never attended.
Sharks have a week dedicated to him.
His personality is so magnetic, he is unable to carry credit cards.
Even his enemies list him as their emergency contact.
He once had an awkward moment, just to see how it feels.
He lives vicariously through himself.
And my favorite (drum roll):
He never says anything tastes like chicken… Not even chicken.

Saki and Noche Buena...A Coyote Bay Tradition

This is an Absolutely truu story about Noche Buena.
I once sent a six-pack of this Xmas beer to my frequent-visitor & compadre, Randy, at his Minneapolis home...so he could celebrate the holidays
in Baja fashion.
Randy tried one and thought it seemed a little OFF?
Randy, being a big-wig at 3M, sent a bottle off to their testing lab for analysis.
The report came back saying:
"Dear Dr. Adam, your horse died of diabetis."
See...told you this stuff is garbage. Kilometer 108 is the dropoff zone and there is no disposal fee.

Even my dog shuns it...in favor of Canuck Pilsner laced with Crown Royal.

Actually, THIS is the best beer in the world.
If you can pronounce it after drinking a six-pack, you win a free lap dance from Lena.

Don't forget the nun!
Always a pleasure, but especially during the winter months (heat does weird things to it).

OH Jeez, Pompano, Leinenkugels is the "best beer in the WORLD"?!? They used to say that about COORS when you couldn't buy it back east!
To the earlier poster who said it was like Guinness: Noche Buena ain't NUTHIN like Guinness! Its barely even a Bock! Man, I love Negra Modelo. Its a
FINE Vienna Lager. But to call it the "Black (or dark) Model means that Mexico has been drinking Pilsners too long. I love dark beer. And I like Noche
Buena but it just ain't a dark beer by any modern standards. This calls for an in-depth side by side days-long study to determine if it isn't just XX
with a different label. I hereby nominate.... ME to implement the study. Like most of you, I have a LOT of experience drinking Mexican beer. Not crazy
about any of the doesn't-have-to-change-state-on-its-way-to-urine versions: Corona, Sol, etc. Give me a beer with some character. The web describes
Noche Buena as a "...dark, rich beer with a strong flavor". Now I'd say that for sure about Guinness, but I'd call NB a decent drinkable lager with
medium body. I'm looking forward to drinking some. Pompano, I'll be by with several cases in late December. Should I buy it in Tecate or wait until
I'm in Mulege? Salud! H.
