In Search of Our Ancestors!
And we found them---Lucy and her Friend!
And the ancestor who dared to visit Baja!
Balboa Park is one of our very favorite places in all of San Diego and on Tuesdays, they have free admission to specified museums for San Diego County
residents. Today was the Museum of Man.
Many tourists miss this jewel in the middle of the city.

Yes, more than once --- good thing is that the exhibits change.
Today I read something about the discovery of Lucy that I did not know----and I do remember when the discovery was made.
The sign at the museum says that the researchers named her Lucy because at the moment of discovery, they were listening to the Beatles song, "Lucy in
the Sky with Diamonds." I LOVE the story.

Wonderful pix, Diana, thanks. Glad you had a great day.
Its a charm of a little museum-- always seek out natural history museums, from Pocatello to Mexico City, San Diego to La Paz, NYC to London, can't get
enough!
The likeness of Lucy is stunning. I see compassion and intelligence there and am humbled and grateful to her.
Thumbs UP!

Gracias --- I also thought Lucy was presented with great dignity, as well she should. She also appeared to be very soulful.
