Thanksgiving in Baja? Si, como, no!

Carumba! It's almost TURKEY DAY!

So here's some real turkeys for you...

Miss Malibu Turkey

Up North we are fortunate to have plenty of domestic turkey farms, plus excellent wild turkey hunting…and a portable barbeque big enough to cook a flock at a time.

Nostalgia: Old-time Baja amigos, Bob and Matt, do a few turkeys in peanut oil at Burros Beach a few years ago. Was my first experience in peanut-oil turkey cooking and turned out very well. The birds were cooked this way in 45 minutes…a pretty quick preparation.

Don’t forget the dressing…let your imagination take control.

In she goes…

Time to sit down at the table!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Twas the night of Thanksgiving
But I just couldn’t sleep.
I tried counting backwards,
I tried counting sheep.

The leftovers beckoned -
The dark meat and white,
But I fought the temptation
With all of my might.

Tossing and turning with anticipation,
The thought of a snack became infatuation.
So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door,
And gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore!

Gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes,
Pickles 7 carrots, beans, and tomatoes.
I felt myself swelling, so plumb and round,
‘Til all of sudden, I rose off the ground.

I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky,
With a mouthful of pudding, and a handful of pie,
But I managed to yell as I soared past the trees..
Happy Eating to all – Pass the cranberries, please.

May your stuffing be tasty,
And your turkey be plumb.
May your potatoes and gravy have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious,

And your pies take the prize,
And..MAY YOUR THANKSGIVING DINNER STAY OFF YOUR THIGHS!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL

Have You Seen the PETA billboards all over SoCal?

I think that influencing children to not eat turkey is going too far

In the US people don't eat dogs.
They just kill them and throw them in the trash.
