Yes, I can see it now-------sure wish I had that fine map

(actually, it shows up on my 1976 Auto Club map, too)

I have been all around that Campo, but never actually there--------really remote spot-------

Well done, Neal (and David).

tripledigitken No prize for you.

DK I should have eliminated you! Who will eliminate this mad hoser for me????:lol:

Back in the day, when the only maps were the AAA and aero sectionals of Baja I checked it out. Now I can only find the start of the road on Google Earth. There is a nice concrete slab there with something scratched in it. First photo wins a Baja Prize.

Here you are on Google Earth at the start of the road East.

Neal------I take it that it has been some time since you checked it out on the ground??? Finding that road and the Campo would be a great challenge for modern explorers of the NOMAD board.

The resolution is not the best in this region, so no way to see concrete slabs or the pila... The GPS at the 'end of road' is 31.745 x 115.458 ... Is that close to where you found La Victoria?

You all are missing Neal's real question!

I think he truly doesn't remember where he was and just wants us to help him to remember...old age plays tricks on your mind - I've been told.

John M - not nearly as old as aridneal

Well. DK, John is right. The last time I was there I could not find the road going east across the arroyos and that was a few years ago. GE shows the start east so I am counting on you guys to find CLV again.
Your WP is about the right distance (maybe a little too far south) and it looks like a road so....?
PS You are right about John M, he is not a nice man. :fire::fire::fire::lol::lol::lol:
