The very latest update on Juanita 6/16/12

Hola Nomads.I have some not so good news.Juanita has an infection that has taken over her eyes and sinuses. She has been in "remission" for a month now so this was not expected. She is at UCI in Orange. If it turns to be Staph, the outlook is not good. She is not producing white blood cells.they are going to try a radical treatment on her with white cells only from her donors(platlets). She won't be with us on Christmas and it will be soo hard for us and especially her darling little girls. Please say prayers for her and her family at this most important time of the year.I am trying to hold it together as are her Sister and her Dad, but I am very scared.Pray for her please, or ask your higher power to take charge!! Sally:(

Sally, I am visiting Roger's place first week of February, you are still welcome to go if you can. I will try to do the other Baja vacations at the same time if all goes as planned.
Other items have not been used yet.
You had a great group of people there, I sure enjoyed myself.

Sally, I'm new here, and don't know your story, and I can't possibly know the strain you're living through now. My prayer for you is that you, and your family, may know peace, and comfort as you walk through this impossibly difficult time.

Breath. Rest when you can. Let others help you whenever possible.

Sally,

Sleep well tonight. Please know that our prayers will guard Juanita through this night and that she will strengthen in the days to come.
May this Christmas season be a period of healing for Juanita and you too.

I have prayed for Juanita since all this began, Sally.
I will continue to ask for that miracle - for her and for all of you who love her.

Seems everybody above here has done a great job of putting into words what everybody in "nomad land " would like to say. So Just know that we all have your entire family in our thoughts and prayers, Sally.......Please call me if there's anything can do to help........ Dick..

Sally, thank you for the u2u, I have read through the various threads about your daughter's illness, and all that you have been through this year.
My goodness, my heart breaks for you, and I can only guess how exhausted your spirit must be, with so many burdens and so much powerlessness to make things different or better.
It certainly sounds like you've been a lioness on your daughter's behalf, and have accomplished miracles in getting her into the hospital, taking care of her children and dealing with the myriad complexities of our medical system. You have done, and are doing, an amazing job!! You are a great blessing to your family, and indirectly, to all of us who follow along.
It is difficult, when we are forced to let go of our illusions of control over our lives, and admit that we really can't do much about the "Big" problems. But even as it's difficult it is also easy, because when we admit we're powerless over stuff, whether it's cancer or an addiction, we have to lay down our false sense of responsibility to fix the problem as well.
You are doing all that can be done. The rest is up to, please forgive me if this is offensive, I don't mean it to be, God.
Thus prayer is effective, and reasonable.
It sounds like you have the prayers of hundreds directed on your daughters behalf, to those hundreds please add those of my wife and I.
Blessings to you and your family. I ask that this illness be banished from your daughter, and that she be freed to return to her familiy and life.

Bill
