"What God did in Baja"? I'm certain that there will be many who assail me, but it has been my experience that the fundamentalists do not provide help without extracting a cost.

"God knows" that the Roman Catholic Church has been implicit in preventing the masses of population from excelling. It is the centuries of their stewardship that has enabled the oligarchs to flourish while so many continue to live in poverty.

But. I just don't get how embracing Jesus on behalf of the fundamentalists is the cure.

You got all that from the video? I just saw a bunch of happy kids with nails, hammers and paint.

I could care less for fundamentalists but if they're gonna paint my house then I'm gonna tell 'em whatever. ;D

What a great group to help out. Good for them.

Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

Pretty loaded statement, won't agree or not, on a couple
occasions I went with a Church Group from Orange Co.,
called Corazon, with some pre cut limber for a simple
house in TJ, after the place was completed there was
some gathering to give thanks, etc., I did not observe
anything other than tears of thanks from the Mex woman
who we replaced her cardboard shack, that was the only
thing that was 'extracted'

"Wow!! Here I was thinking that these young people were of the Bahai faith."

If true, I retract my complaint.

It's just that historically, missionaries from a number faiths have done good work helping those in need, while requiring a payback.

Anyone know why the so-called Hawaiian Cultural Center on the North Shore of Ohau
exists? Think about "clothing" the natives for a start. And, I'm not talking about the Goodwill here.
